Diving with toddlers in tow?

This is the place for you. The pool has a shallow part that is excellent for tiny nonswimmers who could be monitored from the dining table or lounge chairs. The marina laguna water outlet is far from the living area and separated by gravel so there was little danger that the toddlers would make it there and fall in. The arrangement for diving equipment doesn’t show on photos but is very convenient and well designed. The sunwise staff is very responsive to last minute requests. The only small minus on our list was the lack of shampoo and conditioner in the showers and no microwave. But those are small potatoes compared to the convenience of the location, the ease of taking care of diving equipment and the awesome toddler friendly pool. If we come to Bonaire again as a diving family with toddlers, I hope to make reservation soon enough that the villa is still available. Read more

Lovely apartment with fantastic sea views

Beautiful, spacious, and modern apartment with a very large balcony overlooking the sea! Very comfortable, large beds, and the location is excellent. You can walk along the sea straight into the center of Kralendijk and you’re within walking distance of great restaurants. On top of that, the service from Sunwise (Mark and Anke) was outstanding! Fantastic stay

From the very first minute, we felt at home in this beautifully renovated corner apartment, located directly on the ocean. It offers plenty of privacy, a shared pool, and a deck with a swim ladder for snorkeling — what more could you need? Air conditioning in both the bedroom and living room, a very spacious refrigerator, a lovely bathroom, and a new kitchen with induction cooking made us truly happy. Everything we needed was there, including a washing machine, which was a pleasant surprise. With hosts Johan and Nicole, we took a short tour, and on departure day we were able to stay all day without any issues until our flight. We will definitely rent with Sunwise again, excellent service and very reliable! Read more

Dear Chris and Elyse, a big thank you to you and your team. You made our stay at JibeCity unforgettable. Whenever we had a question, it was taken care of immediately. The studio was amazing — especially for us as campers, it felt like camping 2.0. If you’re not a windsurfer, though, this probably isn’t the place for you. Beautiful Property

We had an amazing stay! The house was beautiful, spotless, and very well stocked with everything we needed. The rooftop deck was a highlight, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views, especially the sunsets. The location was excellent, just a quick drive to the best snorkeling spots. New and great location!

We were the firsts to stay at this Villa as they are brand new. It's in a perfect location to everything and close to the airport. Having our own pool was wonderful and it sat on a beautiful landscaped marina. Very safe and the villa was styled very cute. I would definitely stay here again in fact that is our plan. A dream house but with some shortcomings…

Sea You Soon is, in itself, a beautiful holiday home. Stunning views, pleasant bedrooms and bathrooms, and the center of Kralendijk within walking distance. While waiting for check-in, we were informed that the handover would be delayed by an hour because the cleaning wasn’t finished. When we went to look for the house, it turned out to be hard to find. We had taken the address from the internet: Kaya Gobernator N. Debrot 53, which turned out to be incorrect. The house itself (number 27!!) also does not display the name “Sea You Soon” on the façade. There was no one there to welcome us. When we contacted the hosts on our own initiative, we were repeatedly told how busy they were, which made us feel as though we were complaining unnecessarily. The HDMI cable for the TV was missing, so it was logical that we couldn’t get it to work. Dishwasher tablets were also missing; when we asked about this, we were given a liquid detergent instead. This caused the kitchen to flood. A repair technician had to dismantle three kitchen cabinets to dry everything out, which took hours. We ended up buying dishwasher tablets ourselves and left them there. The light in the dark kitchen didn’t work either, and it took days before this was fixed. There were no instruction manuals, so we initially couldn’t use the oven. The cleaning was not optimal; there was still dust in places and long black hairs in the shower. Once everything had been repaired and/or was functioning properly, we did enjoy spending the Christmas holidays there. Read more

Good deal, but a bit outdated

There were a few surprises when we came in: - The temperature in the master bathroom wasn't adjustable, either boiling hot or cold, no matter the settings. Pressure was excellent though. - No air conditioning in the main area, only in the bedrooms. So we either have to run all the fans to get some relief, or open both doors to create a draft. The problem with the latter was the bugs. So many bugs that it was hard to even sit outside unless it was windy. Now to be fair, the bug issue is everywhere on the island, but having air conditioning in the living room would alleviate it. - The kitchen is very outdated. Doors don't close, shelf under sink is falling apart, the dishwasher is ridiculously small, so that you can't include the dinner plates. No space to put the groceries. The microwave and fridge are very nice however. - The outdoor pool is perfect for young children or to cool off, but definitely not to swim. A crew came every week for maintenance. Also, it is in serious need of inside repainting. - All around the house, there's dozens of iguana poop, so you have to be careful where you step. That really can't be helped, but I think the yard should at least have been cleaned before our arrival. - The washing machine is in a closet outside the house. It's so small that it's not easy to get in and squat to get the laundry in and out. But at least, it works fine. Sunwise was very responsive and helped as much as they could. Overall you get what you pay for. Read more

Nirvana Rainbow

When waking up on our first morning after 6 years of anticipation to return to the most relaxing spot on the island. We could hear rain drops outside and once we walked out the sliding door, we couldn't believe our eyes! The most beautiful and colorful Rainbow over Klein Bonaire Island. Perfect location and well-equipped penthouse offering spectacular views

I visited Bonaire with my 71-year old mom and was looking for accommodation within walking distance from the city center and the sea. This penthouse offered just that and more! The penthouse had everything we needed, from cooking pans to utensils to snorkeling gear, pool noodles, beach chairs, ice chest, coffee machine, toaster, water kettle etc. The view from the large terrace was amazing and watching some of the most magical sunsets was our favorite thing to do. On NYE, we were treated to a spectacular display of all the fireworks in the sky. The property manager, Luke, was super nice and responded quickly to all my questions. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would book again, for the ideal location, fully-equipped accommodation and friendly property manager. The only tip I’d give is to consider installing an oven to grill / make lasagna. Read more

Our stay was exactly what you except pricewise. The house was simple, but had everything you need. It was clean. The only thing: it is on the same proporty as the windsurf rental and the hangout beachbar. So you will have some music, and bbq smells when you're at your studio. Alsof there is not really a nice place to chill. You can sit in the hangoutbeachbar, but not with your own drink obviously. At the studio you'll have some plastic seats, and for the four studio's, there are 2 sunbeds.. near the parkingplace.. so I did miss a space to just chill in the sun, on a relaxed seat/bed.. Fantastic location, villa urgently needs attention!

We were very satisfied with the contact with the organization before and during our stay at Villa Vista Bleu, in our case with Cecile and Simon. Everything was handled clearly and correctly, agreements were honored, and they responded quickly and effectively whenever something was missing, broken, or needed in the villa. Our family of seven was unanimously enthusiastic about the spectacular view from the rooftop terrace over the Caribbean Sea: to the left a view of the airport and cruise ships, to the right Curaçao (clearly visible at 65 km on clear days), and straight ahead Klein Bonaire. The villa itself was spacious enough, especially with the additional two-person apartment below. The only but biggest point of criticism is that the overall hygiene and several small defects indicate that the villa is used intensively and continuously. This isn’t immediately noticeable upon arrival, but becomes apparent after a few days. Examples include loose door handles, play in the kitchen faucet and bathroom taps, a dishwasher that no longer cleans optimally, a loose kitchen sink basin, and mold in the seals of the refrigerator and in the shower cabins. We also spent time ourselves cleaning the barbecue thoroughly to make it hygienic again; due to knobs that keep turning, it has clearly reached the end of its lifespan as well. At this point, thorough maintenance in the near future seems highly desirable, as these issues detract from the overall experience. Read more

Fantastic Stay As Usual!

We have been staying with Sunwise in Bonaire since 2019, and we absolutely love our stays every time. We have stayed at Caribbean Court Studio 321 a couple of times now, and it has been great for both of them. The location was fantastic (close to the airport, grocery stores, snorkeling, the main city, windsurfing, and great restaurants), and we really enjoyed the property itself. It provided us with everything we needed, and we had a great experience crashing there for some time after a long day of snorkeling and windsurfing. Overall, we highly recommend staying here and with Sunwise in general. They are always very responsive and easy to work with if you have any additional needs. Read more

The Happy Turtle

The Happy Turtle is one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. It was absolutely perfect for the two of us…(the second bed and bath on the opposite side of the house would be great for another couple or a friend.) The refurbishment they did last December is about as close to flawless as I could imagine. Very tasteful, comfortable. Kudos to whoever was in charge of all of that. We cooked many meals in the well equipped kitchen. The fans and A/C allowed for ideal temperature control. Although we spent the majority of our time in the huge screened in deck/porch. Completely bug free….with a steady breeze, the rustle of the palms and the view of the sea. Most of all we loved the quiet location. Outside of town with easy access to Oil Slick Leap, Tolo, 1,000 Steps and Karpata. Everyone at Sunrise Bonaire was fantastic to work with. Communication and arrangements were easy breezy. We only look forward to coming back. Read more

Will stay again next time we visit the island.

We stayed at A701 Port Bonaire and will look at it again next time. Booking, check-in/out process was easy through Sunwise Bonaire. Comfortable bed (which is rare), patio, and living room furniture. The grounds and pool are well kept and enjoyable. Gated access to easy parking even with a pick-up truck. Short walk to Kite City and Stoked food trucks at Te Amo beach. Right next to Dive Friends shop which made swapping tanks and cleaning gear really easy. With no AC in the living room having the patio doors open was a must. Also left the side windows open the whole time (opening is secure) to keep it cooler. Its first floor so make sure to bring the bug spray. Plenty of mosquitoes this trip, but not a problem if using spray. The induction skillets were the expected/usual cheap and worn, so bring your own if you intend to use the range. The laundry room is vented, and worked great for storing our dive gear which was 95% dry the next morning. Loading/unloading to the truck was easy. We had a concern about airplane noise given the proximity, but it wasn’t a problem. Its only loud during a take-off which wasn’t often, lasted about 30 seconds, and early enough to not be an issue sleeping. Would recommend staying here, especially if you’re diving. Read more

Perfect for our family trip!

We were a family group of 12 visiting the island to snorkel, SCUBA, and enjoy the nature activities of Bonaire. The villa allowed us to share beautiful outdoor spaces, cook large family meals and enjoy them at the spacious outdoor table, and also spread out as we needed. There were large rinse sinks and storage lockers for our snorkel/scuba gear. The parking was ample for our 3 trucks and 1 scooter. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes and had 2 full-size refrigerators. It also had the basic spices and herbs for our use! And anytime we had questions, the villa host responded within minutes via WhatsApp. They were friendly and helpful before and during our trip. Overall, we loved it.
