The Boathouse at Waterland Villages

We enjoyed our stay at The Boathouse. Chris and Elyse were very helpful and answered our questions quickly. The villa was comfortable, well equipped, and spacious. The outdoor space was a bonus. We ate breakfast outside and spent most evenings enjoying the evening breeze. We made use of the pool on most days. Te Amo beach is within walking distance - but it is a busy road. A rental vehicle is helpful to get downtown and to the other wonderful beaches. The unit is very close to the airport - so you can hear the plane traffic but it is not an issue. Last large flight out is around 10pm. I would rent from Sunwise again on our next trip to Bonaire. Read more

Best View in Bonaire

We had a great stay in the Yellow Tail Snapper unit in January, with the exception of the mattress. It was so terribly firm that we went out and spent $219 on a mattress topper, which I don’t regret at all because it really saved our backs, and we ended up leaving it behind to help future guests. But the view is spectacular! The location is perfect! You literally can’t get any closer to the ocean. And the convenience of the dive shop onsite with the gear storage area was really awesome. The diving right there off the pier is phenomenal! We heard that snorkeling right there and right next door in front of Chogogo is fantastic too but we just dove the reef. At night, divers and snorkelers with lights will attract the big tarpon. One thing I really wish the condo had was a washing machine, because swimwear after a couple days in the ocean gets to smelling a bit funky and hand washing is a pain and doesn’t do as good a job. There isn’t a drain plug that properly fits the sinks either. Definitely could benefit from laundry facilities if staying a week or more. Location is conveniently close to a few eateries as well. We walked to Pizza Mare, Doner Station, Luciano’s, Eddy’s, the beach bar at Chogogo, and of course Breeze ‘n Bites which is on the first floor of Den Laman. Highly recommend Den Laman if you want a laid back, stress-free stay away from all the crowds! Read more

Wonderful stay at Villa La Brisa!

My wife and I spent a week at Villa La Brisa and absolutely loved our stay. The quiet location just outside of town was perfect, offering incredible ocean and sunset views, a beautiful garden, and a wonderful private pool. The home was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described, and the hosts were consistently quick and helpful with their communication. What we enjoyed most was the privacy of the backyard and pool area — it truly felt like our own peaceful escape into nature. We also loved the relaxed vibe on that side of the island and had a great time exploring the coast and the National Park. Snorkeling at 1000 Steps and swimming with the turtles each morning were unforgettable highlights. Thank you for sharing your beautiful holiday home with us! Read more

Great location

Bonaire Beach Apt. 15 is in a great location to see the ocean and the cruise ships dock and being a very easy walk to downtown. It is also a short direct drive to all the large grocery stores, has a great lanai and right next to a swimming beach. The WiFi wasn't great and they could use a few more things in the kitchen but over all we would definitely stay here again. Read more

Good Location and Place

The two bedroom condo was very well located and had good views. The balcony was great - we spent most of our time out there. The applicances - dishwasher, washing machine, airconditioning, etc. - worked well. Parking was available on site. A couple of not so good things: we had to pry up part of the shower drain in one bathroom to keep the bathroom floor from flooding; the bathrooms have two measly hooks and no towel racks; the cabinet in one bedroom was falling apart; and there was no microwave. Lovely Apartment

We stayed here for 2 weeks in January and were very happy with the apartment. It had everything we needed and the balcony was lovely for sitting out and watching sunrise and sunsets. It is very spacious and only a few minor issues with kitchen plug sockets which we overcame. We home to come back there next year - thanks to the great team at Sunwise for all your help. Read more

Den Laman

We enjoyed very much staying at Den Laman for a great access to the water for diving. The room was very comfortable and the balcony was excellent. Your nice words to extend our time before departure to the plane, and your honesty to give us back the deposit which we could not come in. Chachacha Apartment At Sea with Ocean View

We had a wonderful stay on Bonaire. Chachacha Apartment At Sea with Ocean View is a spacious apartment with a beautiful sea view. In front of the apartment, you can enter the sea via the small beach or the pier, where you’ll see locals every day! The apartment is within walking distance of the town center. The only thing we missed was an oven, but otherwise it is fully equipped with all comforts. Definitely recommended — if we ever return to Bonaire, we would book through Sunwise again. Pretty apartment, sea view, noisy surroundings

Let’s start with the positive points: the team at Sunwise Bonaire is super friendly, fast, and professional. We were allowed to check in earlier and check out later. The apartment is newly renovated, very bright, and well designed for two people. The shower had great water pressure, the airport was hardly noticeable, and the terrace has a sea view. The complex itself is pleasant, with a nice pool and sun loungers. There were usually around 5–15 people staying there. There is direct access to the sea, and snorkeling is possible as well — not as good as at Andrea I or II, but still a nice overall experience. Our main issues were the large construction site next door. A house is being built, with drilling and hammering from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. This made it impossible to sit outside. In addition, there is a dive school next door that is also noisy and has its boat docked directly in front of the terrace. The staff often look straight into the living room, sometimes even in the evening around 10 p.m. We felt there was too little privacy, and the noise made the terrace almost unusable. Overall, it’s a good apartment, but next time we would choose a different one. For anyone who doesn’t mind a boat in front of the terrace, it could still be a good place to stay. The construction, of course, won’t last forever. Read more

Great!

Great house, everything you need is there. Short lines of communication with the property manager and immediate responses to questions. The pool was in excellent condition, and the neighborhood is very pleasant. Snorkeling is within walking distance, and the center of Kralendijk is also easily reachable on foot. If you’re traveling to Bonaire with a group and don’t want to stay in a hotel, this place is definitely highly recommended! They also really thought along with us when we had to extend our stay due to our return flight being canceled. All in all, we stayed here for 18 days and thanks to the accommodation, that was absolutely no hardship at all. Read more

Exceptional Stay

We had a fantastic stay at Delfins in the 4 Br villa with the private splash pool. The villa itself was large and spotless with 4 Br and 4 Br. I was pleasantly surprised that there was daily maid services with refills of coffee. The grounds of Delfins are a beautiful and clean. We would reserve the same villa again in a heartbeat. Apartment was clean, overall acceptable. The street noise was constant and too loud (on the balcony) for my taste. The apartment lacks basic appliances - no microwave, no toaster, no oven. Being able to check out a bit later than 10AM would have been nice as the flights all leave afte 3pm, but they were unable to accomodate us. They were helpful when one of our friends had a medical problem. Read more

Pleasant stay

Spacious and clean apartment. Nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and a fully equipped kitchen. I always find it thoughtful when basics like pepper, salt, and sugar are available. Here there was even syrup and honey in the cupboard, plus a few drinks in the fridge: great! Also nice: in addition to air conditioning in all rooms, there are fans everywhere. Even on the balcony. If I had to mention a minor downside, it would be the view. Construction is taking place in front of the apartment (although there were no active works during our stay, so we weren’t bothered by it). The balcony itself was spacious and pleasant for dining. We really enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. Read more

Wonderful stay

Our stay at Kas Très was wonderful. The house is spacious and offers many great spots, such as the long table with barbecue and second dishwasher, the gazebo, the bar table, and the lounge area. The landscaping is much more beautiful than shown in the photos, providing a lot of privacy. The only thing we missed were mosquito nets above the beds, that would truly be a great addition. The service from Sunwise is exceptional; they are always reachable and really do their best to give you an unforgettable holiday. Read more

A beautiful dream house

We had a truly wonderful time in this beautiful house. From the very beginning, we felt completely at home. The house is fully equipped with very high-quality furniture and features a lovely terrace with beautiful lounge furniture and a hammock. The small pool is very clean and perfect for a refreshing dip. The house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper floor. Each room is equipped with air conditioning, so you feel comfortable at all times. The location is also ideal. The airport is only five minutes away, but since there are not many planes taking off or landing, the proximity to the airport was never a disturbance. It’s an ideal base for exploring the island. If the opportunity arises, we would be very happy to return. Contact with the hosts was outstanding at all times. Thank you very much for the wonderful time we had on Bonaire. Read more

Diving with toddlers in tow?

This is the place for you. The pool has a shallow part that is excellent for tiny nonswimmers who could be monitored from the dining table or lounge chairs. The marina laguna water outlet is far from the living area and separated by gravel so there was little danger that the toddlers would make it there and fall in. The arrangement for diving equipment doesn’t show on photos but is very convenient and well designed. The sunwise staff is very responsive to last minute requests. The only small minus on our list was the lack of shampoo and conditioner in the showers and no microwave. But those are small potatoes compared to the convenience of the location, the ease of taking care of diving equipment and the awesome toddler friendly pool. If we come to Bonaire again as a diving family with toddlers, I hope to make reservation soon enough that the villa is still available. Read more
