General description
Villa Laguna is a stylish and comfortable six-person home on the water of Laguna Marina. From the pool deck and the dock, you’ll take in beautiful views over the lagoon, which connects directly to the Caribbean Sea. A 10-minute paddle on the SUP boards or in the kayaks brings you to one of Bonaire’s most beautiful beaches, Te Amo Beach. It’s a wonderful spot for families or friends who want to soak up the sun, the sea, the calm, and that real island feeling. In short, it’s the perfect home base for an unforgettable vacation on Bonaire.
Layout of the villa
The bedrooms are all furnished with 2 box-spring beds and air conditioning for a great night's sleep. The bathrooms offer every comfort for a relaxed start or end to the day. The open kitchen flows right into the living area and is fully equipped with an induction cooktop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, kettle, and toaster. In the adjoining living room, which has its own air conditioning, you can unwind in front of the TV. A washing machine is also available for added convenience during your stay.

A special tip during your stay at Villa Laguna: take a boat trip to Klein Bonaire. This uninhabited little island lies just off the coast of Kralendijk and is known for its pristine beaches and outstanding snorkeling. Pack a picnic, soak up the peaceful atmosphere, and explore the colorful coral reef right off the shore. It's a fantastic day trip, just a short boat ride from your accommodation.
Just so you know
- Airport nearby — The small airport sits just across the street. Only a handful of planes land each day, so you'll barely notice it.
- No clothes dryer — Thanks to the sun and the trade winds, laundry on the line usually dries in no time.
- Parking for 1 pickup or SUV — The parking spot isn't very large and fits 1 large car, pickup, or SUV. You can still park 2 scooters next to it. Two small cars will also just fit on the private parking spot.
Where you'll stay
The neighborhood
Villa Laguna sits in a great, central location. One of the most beautiful beaches, Te Amo Beach, is just a 2-minute drive away — or a 10-minute paddle in the kayaks or on the SUP boards. Supermarkets are a 2-minute drive in the other direction. Within a 5-minute drive, you'll find several trendy resorts and restaurants like Windsock, Delfins Beach Resort, and Ocean Oasis, where you can spend a day relaxing or stop in for lunch or dinner. Sorobon at Lac Bay, a true windsurfing paradise, is a 10-minute drive away. Kitesurfers can head to the southwest side of Bonaire, also a 10-minute drive from Villa Laguna.
Getting around
Villa Laguna is best experienced with a rental car, since Bonaire has so much more to offer than just the immediate area around the property. With your own car, you can travel at your own pace to secluded snorkeling spots, laid-back beaches, and local restaurants. A rental car is strongly recommended so you can really get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup or SUV is preferable. The roads there are unpaved and sometimes rough, which makes a regular car less suitable. There's no public transportation, and taxis are limited — especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port. The property has a private, secured parking spot.

Lovely house, fully equipped. Even canoes and SUP boards available. The pool is not very large, but perfect for cooling off while sunbathing. The beds are comfortable. At first I thought the mattress might be a bit too soft, but I had a good night’s sleep. The airport is next to the house and you would expect to be bothered by it, but the opposite was true. Our stay
Villa Laguna is a nice house to stay in, the parking lot is a bit on the tight side with 2 pick up trucks. The chairs at the long table on the porch are definitely not comfortable nor sturdy. Unfortunately the mattresses on the beds upstairs were not firm, after 10 days got back problems. These are definitely in need of replacement considering the pit in the mattress. Bonaire Stay
We booked our stay through Sunwise and we are very satisfied with it! Easy contact through the app, in case of questions they respond immediately! Very pleasant! The water villa was lovely, a nice house, pool to ourselves and we could supp and kayak! Had a wonderful stay. Only downside (but that is person dependent) for us were the soft mattresses. But that did not negatively affect our stay! Top vacation.

Very cozy and complete villa with a good and friendly reception from Sunwise
Very nice price/quality villa with a lot of extras! The house is still like new and very cozy. Extra luxury is the air conditioning in the living room, free use of canoes and sup boards, beach chairs and cooler available and a weber bbq. We enjoyed using this which added extra pleasure to our vacation. We had booked 2 houses with Sunwise each for a week and what was very nice is that Sunwise offered us the possibility to switch to the next house right away so we didn't have to drive around with our suitcases and stuff. Sunwise Bonaire was fantastic
We absolutely loved our charming house on the waterfront. The pool was surprisingly deep and we spent many hours enjoying it. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was a bonus to have air-conditioning in the main room on occasion. We had a lot of fun going out on the stand-up paddle boards and see kayaks available on the dock. We paddled out to the ocean and went to the nearby beach. Sunwise Bonaire was fantastic. Super responsive and got us set up with everything we needed. Thank you! Comfortable with space for everyone
Very nice host. We were very happy to accept the pick up and drop off from the #47 to the airport and it worked wonderfully. It was also very good that some spices and coffee were there for the first breakfast. Loved the thanks for that. If the possibility arises, we will gladly come back. Villa with a pool
Fully equipped villa with plenty of space and pool for swimming, very clean and bright Close to the airport and Te Amo beach. As there are only a few flights a day, it is not disturbing, only the road traffic behind the wall can be heard. You can get everywhere from there by car. We would come again. Guest access
As a guest of Villa Laguna, you have access to the entire home, including 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, the living room, the open kitchen, the veranda, and the adjoining garden with the pool, pool deck, and dock with kayaks and SUP boards. Free parking is available right out front in your own parking spot. To give our guests a warm welcome and walk you through the property and our beautiful island, we handle every arrival in person! The Sunwise hosts for the property will arrange the arrival details with you.
Interaction with guests
The Sunwise team does everything they can to make your stay at Villa Laguna as enjoyable as possible. Throughout your vacation, they're on hand for questions, tips, or anything else you need. The best ways to reach them are through the Guest App, the email address of the Sunwise guest team for Villa Laguna, or through the booking platform you reserved with. They typically respond quickly during the day, so you can keep enjoying your time on Bonaire worry-free.
Other things to note
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early or late check-in/check-out is possible upon request, depending on other guests. Smoking and pets are not permitted in our properties.
