General description
Kas Kris is a comfortable accommodation in Santa Barbara. With 280 m² of living space, you look out over the Republiek neighborhood toward Hato and the sea with Klein Bonaire. For groceries, Zhung Kong is 4 kilometers away; Isidel Beach Park is 3 kilometers; dining at Cuba Compagnie is 5 kilometers; and the dive center Dive Friends Den Laman is 4 kilometers. In the garden you’ll find a private pool (regular pool) with terrace and loungers for relaxed afternoons in the sun.
Layout of the villa
Kas Kris offers three bedrooms, each with a comfortable king-size bed. There are two bathrooms and a bright living room connecting to the outdoor areas with a private garden, covered veranda, terrace, and a generous pool deck. The open kitchen adjoins the living room and terrace, overlooking the pool toward Klein Bonaire, and is equipped with a cooktop, refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee maker, electric kettle, and ice maker.

For underwater lovers, Bari Reef and Isidel Beach Park are great picks. Bari Reef, by Den Laman/Sand Dollar, is famous for exceptional fish diversity—according to REEF, more than 300 species have been recorded here. It’s a very accessible shore dive and snorkel site with often calm water and plenty of reef activity. Isidel Beach Park is a relaxed seaside spot to wind down afterward, watch the sea, and end the day in Caribbean style.

Where you'll stay
The neighborhood
Kas Kris is situated in Santa Barbera, a hillside neighborhood on the north side of Kralendijk, behind the historic saliñas. Thanks to the slightly elevated position, parts offer lovely vistas toward the sea and Klein Bonaire. It’s a quiet, residential area with quick access to northern snorkel and dive sites and the route to Washington Slagbaai National Park. Comfortable, peaceful, and easy to reach.
Getting around
Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Kas Kris. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

A home far away from home
Kas Kris was everything we expected. Fully equipped, comfortable beds, cool, even without using the air conditioning thanks to the fans. As a guest of Kas Kris, you’ll have access to the entire home: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, the living room, and the outdoor spaces including the private garden, covered veranda, terrace, and pool deck around the private pool. There’s a private entrance, plus free parking on the premises or on the street.
