Bon Bida Flamingo is a ground-floor apartment within the small-scale Bon Bida Apartments complex, situated in the Hato neighborhood north of Kralendijk. The apartment covers 150 m² and guests have access to the complex’s shared swimming pool. Isidel Beach Park is just 270 meters away, supermarket Zhung Kong is 800 meters away, restaurant Rum Runners is 550 meters away, and Dive Friends Hamlet is 850 meters away. Free street parking is available directly in front of the property.

Just steps from Bon Bida Flamingo, you'll find two absolute highlights: Bari Reef and Isidel Beach Park. Bari Reef is globally recognized as one of the most fish-rich dive locations in the entire Caribbean – the REEF survey program has recorded more than 300 different fish species here, making it one of the most biodiverse shore dive sites in the world. Isidel Beach Park is the gateway to this underwater paradise: a public beach park with facilities where you can easily slip into the water. Grab your snorkel mask or scuba gear, because this is one you absolutely cannot miss.
Just so you know
- Unpaved access road – The road leading to the complex is unpaved and can be a little bumpy – a standard rental car is perfectly fine, but expect the classic "Bonaire massage" on your way in.
- No A/C in the living room – The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning for a cool night's sleep. In the living room, ceiling fans and the option to open doors and windows provide plenty of ventilation.
- No BBQ – Barbecuing is not available on-site. A great alternative is the Seru Largu viewpoint, which has a public BBQ facility and a spectacular panoramic view over the island.

Bon Bida Flamingo is located in Hato, a residential strip north of Kralendijk, stretching from Harbour Village toward Sabadeco. The neighborhood strikes a pleasant balance between tranquility and convenience: during the day, beach clubs, dive resorts, and the northern shore dive sites are all within easy reach, while evenings bring the calm of a quiet residential setting. Restaurants and shops are just a short drive away, making Hato an ideal base for families and active water sports enthusiasts who want to get out and explore without sacrificing peace and quiet.
Getting around
To truly explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Bon Bida Flamingo in Hato, renting a car is an absolute must. With your own vehicle, every corner of Bonaire is accessible at your own pace – from secluded snorkel spots to local restaurant gems. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for a visit to Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is strongly recommended: the roads inside the park are unpaved and can be quite rough, making a standard car unsuitable. Keep in mind that Bonaire has no public transportation and taxis are limited – especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

Exceptional Bon Bida Flamingo
The apartment was incredible! Clean, spacious, with everything you need and more. Plenty of towels and beach towels available, and the pool just outside the balcony was very big plus!

Great experience!
I spent a week in this apartment in Bonaire and it was fantastic! The bedrooms and bathrooms are wonderfully spacious, which really contributed to a relaxing stay. The living room is also spacious and comfortable, perfect for relaxing in after a day on the island. The kitchen is fully equipped where you can cook yourself well, if you don't want to eat out. From the living room there is a sliding door to the large garden, with its own patio with lots of privacy, which is a nice addition. The garden has a shared pool where you can cool off well after a day in the sun. Super convenient was also the private parking at the apartment. The apartment is in a central neighborhood, with nice restaurants within walking distance and of course the beautiful sea nearby. It was the perfect base to explore the island while enjoying peace and comfort. I absolutely recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a nice place to stay on Bonaire! Guests also have access to the shared swimming pool of the Bon Bida Apartments complex. Free street parking is available directly in front of the property. To give our guests a warm welcome and share everything they need to know about the apartment and our beautiful island, all arrivals are handled personally!
