General description of the villa

Villa Bonheur is located in the quiet and green Oud Lagoen neighborhood, a popular area for vacationers who want to stay just outside the bustle but still close to everything. From the covered veranda and the palapa, our guests have a view of the garden and the pool. Kralendijk, with its charming little shops, excellent restaurants, and cozy bars, is just 2.8 kilometers away, only a few minutes by car. The nearest restaurant is Cuba Compagnie, about 3 kilometers away. The Van den Tweel supermarket is 3.2 kilometers away, and famous beaches like Bari Reef are less than 4 kilometers away. For our diving guests, the nearest Dive Friends Bonaire center, Yellow Submarine, is less than 4 kilometers away on the Kralendijk boulevard. Bonaire is known for its superb watersports infrastructure, relaxed vibe, and nature that invites exploration.

The layout of the villa

This spacious villa features 3 bedrooms, each with a comfortable king-size bed. There are 2 bathrooms and a separate laundry area. At the heart of the home, you’ll find the cozy living area with an open kitchen, equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, cooktop, toaster, blender, coffee maker, freezer, ice maker, kettle, and an oven. From the living room, you step onto the covered veranda, where you can relax in the shade while the private pool lies at your feet. Right next to the pool is a large Mexican palapa with comfortable seating—ideal for a relaxing afternoon or cozy evening. Free parking is available on the property.

All our accommodations are private homes, with no hotel facilities. Sunwise takes care of the initial and final cleaning and provides sufficient towels and linens in Villa Bonheur. If desired, we can request a quote for our guests, for a cleaning service in between.
Is there free parking available?

Villa Bonheur has free parking for our guests on its own property. However, most of our guests park on the side of the road, near the house.
Does the villa have a swimming pool?

Villa Bonheur has a lovely private pool, on its own property. Ideal for that cool drink in the Bonairean heat, or that sultry cocktail after sunset.
What are the costs of staying here?

Prices for Villa Bonheur may vary depending on the season, number of guests and so on. Also, there is the last-minute discount we apply for the first 20 days after the booking date. How far is it to the center of Kralendijk?

Villa Bonheur is about 3 kilometers, or 1.9 miles from Kralendijk, a 7-minute drive away, where our guests can find the nicest bars, stores and restaurants on the island.
How close is the nearest beach?

We recommend that all our guests at Villa Bonheur rent a car while on Bonaire, and by car, the nearest beach, that of Te Amo, is only a 11-minute drive away, about 5.7 kilometer, or 3.6 miles.
What activities are available in the area?

Near Villa Bonheur you will find Flamingo Adventure Golf, Epic Sunset Tours, Seacow Snorkel Tours, Mangroves and Klein Bonaire, but with a rental car, the best snorkeling– en dive sites, as well as all other activities on Bonaire, are always nearby.
What restaurants are nearby?

Just a few minutes by car from Villa Bonheur, some of Bonaire’s best bars and restaurants can be found, such as At Sea, Capriccio, Ingridients, Sebastians, Cuba Compagnie en Oscar Lighthouse.
