Villa Valena 6 is a 60 m² studio located on the second floor of the Villa Valena complex in the center of Kralendijk. The property is part of a complex featuring a communal outdoor pool, and guests have access to a balcony, the pool deck, and a shared garden. Don't let the name fool you – at 1000 Steps, you'll only need to descend about 67 steps to reach the beach below. This iconic dive and snorkel site on Bonaire's west coast is famous for its impressive reef wall that begins just offshore. Snorkelers will find crystal-clear water teeming with reef fish, while divers can follow spectacular coral formations into the deep. The beach itself is narrow and secluded, but the underwater world more than makes up for it. Be sure to bring plenty of water – you'll have to climb those steps on the way back up!
Just so you know
- Stairs – The studio is on the second floor, accessible by stairs. Please keep this in mind if you have mobility concerns or are traveling with a lot of luggage.
- No dryer – There is no clothes dryer, but on Bonaire the tropical sun and steady trade winds will have your laundry dry within a few hours.
- No dishwasher – The kitchen is otherwise well equipped; washing up with the warm Caribbean evening as your backdrop is really no hardship at all.

Getting around
Although Villa Valena 6 is centrally located in Kralendijk with many things within walking distance, a rental car is essential to truly explore the island. With your own vehicle, you can discover every corner at your own pace – from remote snorkel spots along the west coast to local restaurants in Rincon. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can go wherever the day takes you. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is strongly advised, as the unpaved tracks can be quite rough for a regular car. There is no public transportation on the island, and taxis are limited – especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

The apartment was wonderful. Neatly furnished with all the facilities we needed. Due to my family circumstances we did not spend the whole time there, but the time we were there it was quiet. Within walking distance to the city. Minus point was the pool which was not cleaned in between. I had little time to swim, but if I did I would have loved to use it. We will definitely come back and can recommend it.

Fantastic place and lovely flat to stay. Within walking distance of kralendijk and in a quiet residential area. Few points of attention; 1. Parasol o.i.d. on terrace would be nice, because very hot Evening Sun. 2. Extra blanket for on the bed. 3. Extra bed linnen. As a guest of Villa Valena 6, you have full access to the entire studio: the bedroom with king-size bed, the bathroom, the open-plan kitchen and living area, the private balcony, and the shared complex facilities including the communal pool, pool deck, and garden. Free parking is available on the premises and on the street directly in front. To welcome our guests personally and share everything they need to know about the property and Bonaire, all arrivals are handled in person by our team! The Sunwise hosts for Villa Valena 6 will coordinate your arrival time with you in advance.
