General description
This spacious oceanfront accommodation in Belnem offers 349 m² of living space and beautiful sea views. Nearby you’ll find Bachelor’s Beach (50 meters), Good and More (500 meters), Brass Boer (500 meters), and dive center Dive Friends Delfins (500 meters). Outside awaits a private pool with a sunny deck, surrounded by a private garden and terrace. Parking is free on the premises.
Layout of the villa
Casa Mar Azul features six bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with one king-size bed; Bedrooms 2, 3 and 4 each with two single beds; Bedroom 5 with one king-size bed; and the Studio with one king-size bed. There are six bathrooms. The open kitchen connects to the living room and is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee maker, ice maker, and kettle. Outdoors you’ll find a terrace, private garden, and a generous pool deck.

Just steps away is Bachelor’s Beach, a beloved small beach on the southern edge of Kralendijk. A staircase leads down a roughly 3-meter rock face to a narrow, often partially hidden strip of sand. The water here is calm and clear, with great snorkeling over the shallow coral garden close to shore. Water shoes are useful for entry and exit. It’s a relaxed spot for a refreshing swim and to end the day overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

The neighborhood
South of the center and toward the salt pans: one of Bonaire’s best-known residential and vacation areas, traditionally linked to Harry Belafonte. Belnem has grown into a collective name for upscale sub-neighborhoods like La Palma, Sabal Palm, Lima, Punt Vierkant, and Playa Esmeralda. You’re close to beloved south-coast beaches (such as Bachelor’s Beach) and iconic dive sites; perfect for sunsets and relaxed beach life. Quietly residential, with quick routes to the airport and downtown.
Getting around
A rental car is essential on Bonaire to explore beyond the immediate surroundings of Casa Mar Azul in Belnem. With your own car you can reach every corner at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to local eateries. We recommend renting a car. Most roads are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. Park roads are unpaved and can be rough. There’s no public transport and taxis are limited, especially on cruise days.

Beautiful setting
Beautiful setting. Direct access to water for swimming and snorkeling. Usually quiet, some road noise. Fabulous gathering spaces for large group (12 or fewer). Especially appreciated dining areas inside and outside. The many well appointed bedrooms and separate apartment offered comfort and privacy. Air conditioning and fans worked well except for brief outage of some units resulting from rainstorm, however this was promptly remedied. Utensils, and cookware, dishes and glasses were good quality, plentiful and clean. Great kitchen. Good locked area to hang dive gear. All felt safe and secure. Very happy with our choice. What a fantastic vacation!
After a long search we ended up at this villa, many thanks to the Sunwise team, everything was fantastically arranged from arrival to departure!
We had chosen this villa because of the space, all children their own bedroom, direct access to the sea and because of previous very positive reviews.
What a dream when you wake up in the morning with the view of the Caribbean Sea.
This villa is very luxuriously furnished with air conditioning in all bedrooms and even in the kitchen and living room.
We are not divers ourselves but did a lot of snorkeling in front of the villa, what an underwater world, even saw dolphins swimming by.
Also the many evenings barbecuing on the Green Egg with the sunset were a highlight.

Perfect for multi-family stays with scuba access and private spaces
We had 3 separate families staying in this 6 bedroom home. One of the rooms was a studio of it's own, with cooktop, oven, refrigerator, so was completely self contained, which worked amazingly well for one of our 3 families staying there. The other 2 families occupied 4 of the other 5 rooms, with each teenage boy able to have his own bedroom. The parents stayed in the larger bedrooms upstairs, with a 2nd floor deck looking out over the water. The place was fully lockable with a remote for the driveway gate. We were able to keep 3 rental vehicles on the parking area inside the gate. There was a lockable SCUBA equipment room, 2 outdoor SCUBA rinse tanks, and a garden hose to spray off SCUBA equipment with. There were also portable clothes drying racks which came in REAL HANDY for as much water activities as we did. We were able to SCUBA right from their beach. The house is a dream
This was a very expensive condo. Don't get me wrong. But you get what you pay for. Best family reunion ever. The house is a dream. Clean, spacious and new. The view is spectacular. The water is crystal clear and warm. Snorkeling is gorgeous. I can't say enough about the location. We used the outdoor grill every night. The terrace juts out over the water and there are steps down. You need sand shoes but the ocean is calm. You can scuba right there too. Tank rental is right across the street. There are dunk tanks and a locked room for gear storage. Outdoor shower is warm. Floaties. Flat screen TV's in every room but no premium channels. YouTube was free so we watched old movies. Furniture is high quality. Secure gated parking area in front. Very quiet even though there are numerous nightclubs within walking distance. We had some issues with electricity the first day but Luke solved them promptly. Hint: we booked a year in advance to get the weeks of Christmas. I'd been again in a heartbeat. Best place ever
We were a group of 8 and there was nothing to complain. The villa is well equipped with everything you need. Everything is on a high level standard especially the bathrooms and the kitchen. The AC in the sleeping rooms and additional in the livingroom and kitchen makes it easy to stay inside on hot days. Two other highlights are the jacuzzi and the barbecue grill (green egg). We were staying one Bonaire now the fifth time and Casa Mar Azul was by far the best place. The direct access to the reef at Bachelors Beach was amazing. So we did a lot of early morning dives and night dives. Last not but least is another highlight the fantastic support of Mark and Luke!! On Bonaire, you can not beat this home.
