Belmar Oceanfront Apartment 15 is a 60 m² apartment on the second floor of the Belmar Oceanfront Apartments complex, set in the exclusive coastal area of Punt Vierkant on the western side of Bonaire. Both the apartment and the balcony offer direct views of the Caribbean Sea. The Good and More supermarket is just 350 meters away, Playa Esmeralda (Ocean Oasis) beach is 1.2 kilometers away, Brass Boer restaurant is 750 meters away, and Dive Friends Delfins dive center is 750 meters away. Guests have access to the complex’s shared outdoor swimming pool.
Layout of the apartment
The apartment features one bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed and one bathroom. The open-plan kitchen flows directly into the living area and is fully equipped with a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee maker, kettle, and an ice maker. Outside, the balcony provides a wonderful spot to unwind, complemented by the shared garden of the complex.

Ask one of our Sunwise hosts about Atlantis Kitebeach and their eyes will light up. Located in the southern part of Bonaire, this beach is the go-to spot for kitesurfers – and for good reason. The consistently offshore wind that blows here virtually year-round creates ideal conditions for experienced riders. That said, because the wind is always blowing offshore, Atlantis is considered a challenging spot; beginners are strongly advised to take lessons with one of the local kite schools first. Even if you're not into kitesurfing, the beach is well worth a visit – sit back and watch the spectacle of colorful kites soaring above the turquoise water while you relax on the shore.
Just so you know
- No dryer – There's no tumble dryer, but on sunny Bonaire your laundry dries quickly thanks to the constant trade wind and sunshine.
- City sounds nearby – You may occasionally hear the lively sounds of Kralendijk in the background – an authentic Caribbean atmosphere that most guests actually enjoy.
- Stairs – The bedroom is accessible via a staircase, which may be less suitable for guests with limited mobility. Please keep this in mind when booking.

Punt Vierkant is an upscale coastal strip along the azure waters of the Caribbean, located just south of the airport. This area is home to luxury villas situated right on the water – sometimes with their own private dock – and provides direct access to world-famous dive sites such as The Lake, Angel City, and the Hilma Hooker wreck. Punt Vierkant is all about ocean views, stunning sunsets, and premium comfort: the ideal location for those who want the very best of Bonaire's west coast right at their doorstep.
Getting around
To truly explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Belmar Oceanfront Apartment 15 in Punt Vierkant, a rental car is essential. With your own wheels, you can reach every corner of Bonaire at your own pace – from secluded snorkel spots to local restaurants. We strongly recommend renting a car so you have the freedom to go wherever you please. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is highly recommended: the roads inside the park are unpaved and can be quite rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transportation on the island, and taxis are limited – especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked in port.

Everything we needed
This was our first trip to Bonaire and we love this location:
- The place is south of the airport, less than 10min
- 15min drive to Sorobon Beach Lac Bay for winging (or windsurfing)
- Easy walk to Divi Resort for breakfast, coffee etc (also lunch/dinner)
- 3min drive to Ocean Oasis resort for food or beach (went multiple times)
- BuddyDive onsite location - We did the discover diving course here
- Great views of the water, wake up and have coffee on the patio overlooking the water
- Snorkle or dive from here
The unit was well equipped with everything we needed.

As a guest of Belmar Oceanfront Apartment 15, you have exclusive access to the entire apartment: the bedroom with king-size bed, the bathroom, the open-plan kitchen and living area, the balcony with ocean views, and the shared garden and communal outdoor pool of the complex. Free on-site parking is available for guests. To give you a warm welcome and share all the ins and outs of the apartment and our beautiful island, all arrivals are handled personally by your Sunwise host! The Sunwise team will coordinate your check-in time with you in advance.
