General description
Den Laman Parrotfish is a 100 m² condo located in the Den Laman Condominiums complex at Kaya Gobernandor Nicolaas Debrot 77 in the Hato neighborhood. Situated on the second floor, the apartment offers beautiful ocean views. Isidel Beach Park is just 15 meters away, Dive Friends Den Laman / Sand Dollar dive center is a mere 5 meters from the entrance, restaurant CHEFS Bonaire is 900 meters away, and Zhung Kong supermarket is reachable within 1.2 kilometers. The condo does not have a private or shared swimming pool, but with the Caribbean Sea right at your doorstep, that’s hardly a compromise.
Layout of the apartment
The condo features one bedroom with a comfortable queen-size bed and one bathroom. The open-plan kitchen flows directly into the living area and is equipped with built-in appliances including a stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, and an ice maker. The bright living area also has a desk and dining table. Right at the doorstep of Den Laman Parrotfish, you'll find Bari Reef and Isidel Beach Park, one of the most spectacular dive and snorkel sites in the entire Caribbean. The reef starts right at the waterline and is easily accessible for both snorkelers and shore divers. Just so you know
- No pool – There is no private or shared swimming pool, but with Isidel Beach Park just 15 meters away and a world-class reef right in front of you, you have an even better alternative.
- Stairs – The apartment is located on the second floor and is accessible by stairs only. Less suitable for guests with limited mobility.
- No dryer – There is no tumble dryer, but on Bonaire the sun and trade winds take care of your laundry in no time on the balcony.
Where you'll stay
The neighborhood
Den Laman Parrotfish is located in Hato, the residential strip north of Kralendijk stretching from Harbour Village toward Sabadeco. The area strikes a great balance between convenience and calm: you'll find several beach clubs, dive resorts, and Bonaire's famous northern shore dive sites right in the neighborhood. Restaurants and shops are just a short drive away. Hato is an excellent base for families and water sports enthusiasts who want to hit the water quickly but return to a peaceful setting in the evening.
Getting around
A rental car is highly recommended to fully explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Den Laman Parrotfish in Hato. With your own wheels you can reach every corner of Bonaire at your own pace – from secluded snorkel spots along the west coast to local restaurants and hidden gems. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is strongly advised, as the roads inside the park are unpaved and can be quite rough. There is no public transportation on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

We love staying at this unit in Bonaire. It has a wonderful view of the sea and everything we needed for our stay. The booking was easy and Cecile very helpful and responsive to our needs and small issues: The cleaning ladies came once a week and we had no complaints. Great location, needs TLC
Den Laman has a great location right at Bari Reef with a dive friends location and a dock for residents use. It is walking distance to town. The apartment has great views and is comfortably furnished but does need some basic maintenance. The patio is enclosed on three sides without a cross wind or fan to keep away mosquitoes. Great service
As usual, we loved our stay at Parrotfish, especially the help getting the heavy scuba gear up the stairs after our 14-hour flights. Since our experience was near perfect I am going to focus on improvements that would make stays even more pleasant. Because of the beautiful location in the building, the porch is windless, and mosquitos are concentrated there, making the porch lesss than ideal to use. It would help to have 1 or 2 box fans for the porch. Since we will likely stay at Parrotfish in the future, we would be willing to pay the cost of a fan and leave it there for everyone's use. Parrot stay
Very nice place. Beautiful view. Management was very accommodating. Quiet and a great location. I would recommend that you put a lounge chair on the beautiful deck for even more enjoyment of the view. And we found it a bit odd that such a luxury accommodation would not provide more toilet paper…and require guest to supply more. BUT, we would stay again and will recommend it to others. We look forward to returning
Replace stained mattress cover, fix hair dryer or wire in a standard outlet, instructions for microwave would be helpful, spatula without the holes. All in all we loved our stay in Parrotfish. Our family stayed in the other three rooms. The one mattress in the Shark front bedroom was too hard to comfortably sleep on. We look forward to returning. The best so far!
This was our third holiday on the island, but our first at Den Laman condominium and the best so far! Great location close to restaurants and shops. The best snorkeling and diving right in front of the building. We saw colorful parrotfish, giant tarpans, octopuses, scorpion fish, groupers, trumpet fish, morays and much more.
Parrotfish is a great accommodation for two people, a spacious apartment with all amenities. Beautiful view from the terrace on Klein Bonaire and stunning sunsets. Dive shop and restaurant on site. Cecile was very kind and explained everything to us in detail. We have already booked our stay for next year, but in a two-bedroom apartment, because we are going with our relatives. The condo is right on the water
What a beautiful condo and location! Everything was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The condo is right on the water with amazing snorkeling right off the beach. There is a dive school onsite and lots of divers in the water! The huge glass doors and veranda provided amazing sunset views from inside the condo with the doors closed, or outside on the veranda. Cecile was an amazing host, and even responded within a few minutes to let me in when I accidentally locked myself out without the keys. I would definitely stay here again. As a guest of Den Laman Parrotfish, you have full access to the entire apartment: the bedroom with its queen-size bed, the bathroom, the open-plan kitchen, the living area, and the ocean-view balcony. Free parking is available both on the premises and on the street. Guests of Den Laman Parrotfish also benefit from the direct proximity of Dive Friends Den Laman / Sand Dollar, located right on the complex. To give every guest a warm welcome and a proper introduction to the apartment and our beautiful island, all arrivals are handled personally by our team. The Sunwise hosts for Den Laman Parrotfish will coordinate your arrival time with you in advance.
