Nice Villa with Easy Access to Southern Dive Sites

There was a lot of good to Villa Mistralea. It's a nice 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom villa with a well stocked kitchen. The seating area and table in the back of the house was nice, shady and with a decent cross-wind most of the time. There was PLENY of birds (including some hummingbirds) and only a few lizards (my adult children love the lizards). The pool was small but very nice. I'm always amazed by how much we use a pool when we stay at a villa with a pool. We had two very nice warm, outdoor showers along with an EXCELLENT rinse tank for our scuba gear. Also, there is a gear locker that worked very nicely for storing our gear over night. Again, the kitchen was well stocked. We had all the pots, pans, plates and utensils we needed for our cooking. We even took advantage of the grill one night! We did not use the stove so I have no comment on that appliance. The beds were comfortable and the air conditioners worked well. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us (myself and my 3 adult children). Oh, and a closet with a HUGE amount of towels. There was a large TV that we could not get to work. But, that was not a problem since none of us watches much TV. The internet worked well after we re-booted the router. I have only one complaint. There was a dishwasher next to the sink that we could not use since the water source for it had a leak behind the refrigerator. We're all used to doing our own dishwashing so this was not a huge problem. Overall, a great place. Read more
