Nirvana Lodge is a luxurious villa located in the desirable Belnem neighborhood, with spectacular ocean views over Klein Bonaire. This spacious 300 m² accommodation is situated on the ground floor and offers a unique oceanfront location. The villa is just 130 meters from Bachelor’s Beach, 1.1 kilometers from Good and More supermarket, 1.5 kilometers from Brass Boer restaurant, and 1.5 kilometers from Dive Friends Delfins dive center. The highlight is undoubtedly the beautiful infinity pool that seamlessly flows toward the horizon of the Caribbean Sea.
Layout of the villa
The villa features five spacious bedrooms and five bathrooms, providing ample privacy for all guests. The open kitchen directly adjoins the living room and is fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, stove, toaster, blender, coffee maker, freezer, ice maker, kettle, and oven. Sunwise insider tip
Just a few minutes' drive from Nirvana Lodge lies 1000 Steps, one of Bonaire's most iconic snorkeling and diving locations. Despite the name, it's 'only' about 67 steps that lead you down to this idyllic beach – a funny misunderstanding that has persisted for decades! This sheltered bay is particularly beloved by snorkelers and divers due to its crystal-clear water and rich underwater world. The coral reef lies just below the surface, allowing you to enjoy colorful reef fish, sea turtles, and beautiful coral formations right from the shore. The relatively calm conditions make 1000 Steps perfect for beginning snorkelers as well.
Just so you know
- Limited cooling breeze – the veranda is sheltered making it wonderfully peaceful in the evenings, but it can feel warmer during the day
- No indoor dining table – there's no dining table inside, but the covered outdoor terrace has a spacious table for long evenings under the stars
- Water pressure – water pressure on the island can sometimes fluctuate, usually briefly
Where you'll stay
The neighborhood
South of the center and toward the salt pans: one of Bonaire's most famous residential and vacation areas, traditionally linked to Harry Belafonte. Belnem grew into a collective name for luxury subdivisions like La Palma, Sabal Palm, Lima, Punt Vierkant, and Playa Esmeralda. You're close to beloved south coast beaches (like Bachelor's Beach) and iconic dive spots here; ideal for sunsets and relaxed beach life. Quietly residential, with quick routes to the airport and downtown.
Getting around
A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Nirvana Lodge in Belnem. With your own car, all corners of the island are accessible at your own pace, from remote snorkeling spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone rent a car, as it enables you to reach everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There is no public transport and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Nirvana Rainbow
When waking up on our first morning after 6 years of anticipation to return to the most relaxing spot on the island. We could hear rain drops outside and once we walked out the sliding door, we couldn't believe our eyes! The most beautiful and colorful Rainbow over Klein Bonaire Island. Great accommodations
The lodge was great. Well stocked, very roomy. Each room has a private outdoor sitting area or balcony. We stayed with a group of six, it was great for everyone to have their own bathroom and shower. Large outdoor table for large groups. The house reef was great, very close to bachelor beach site. Easy entry and exit to water from stairs or Ladder. Two wash tanks for gear, great from keeping wetsuits separate from cameras, masks, regs.... Big plus is the AC in the kitchen/living room area, keeping the area at a comfortable temperature. Paradise
We had a wonderful time staying at Nirvana Lodge. The house was spacious and comfortable and the sea access was perfection. The water is crystal clear, calm and full of fish! Diving misfits
Stayed there 2 years ago. The dock is new and very nice. Some areas are beginning to show wear, hot water wasn’t great in front of the house. The giant sliding glass door with the engraving is a royal pain to open and close. We all had a great time, beds were very comfortable. Diving off the steps into the water, excellent and good diving and snorkeling. Will definitely book again. Plenty of dishes and cooking items for large group dinners. Fantastic sunsets. Better than expected!

Far beyond our expectations
The lodge was far beyond our expectations and the hosts were welcoming.
We had a little trouble with the pool, but it was taken care of.
The hot water was not there.

Everything was great!
Everything was great about the place. The internet was good except in the upstairs bedrooms. Walking distance to a couple restaurant's. Responsive on anything that we had question on. We certainly will return to Nirvanva Lodge.

A beautiful and magazine worthy vacation home
Villa Nirvana is a beautiful and magazine worthy vacation home. The infinity pool and shared dock over the most turquoise and clear water were perfect for relaxing after scuba diving. Jumping off the dock was lot of fun and the snorkelling and diving right off the dock were very good. There aren’t any photos of the dock but it’s amazing and one of very few along the coast. It was a private place and very spacious for two families of 4. There was a bedroom we didn’t use because two kids wanted to share. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom which is nice. The location was close to our scuba diving company Dive Friends and also close to town. Sunsets were spectacular every night from the infinity pool and dock. The management was friendly, responsive, attentive and flexible. They met us at the house and explained everything. Bought supplies when we were running low. Super!
Flexible upon check out and let us store our luggage and let us borrow a cooler to move our refrigerated items to our next

Truly Nirvana!
Everything about our stay was perfect! The house size and layout worked perfectly for our family of 10 with plenty of space to gather together but also separate areas for some quiet time. The diving off the back was easy with a beautiful reef. The managers were attentive with any questions we had or needs (although the house was perfect so we didn't need anything). Guest access
As a guest of Nirvana Lodge, you have access to the entire villa, including all five bedrooms, five bathrooms, the open kitchen, living room, and all outdoor spaces such as the private garden, covered veranda, balcony, and terrace. The highlight is naturally the beautiful infinity pool with direct access to the ocean. There is free parking available both on the property and on the street. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanation about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we personally handle all arrivals! The Sunwise hosts for the accommodation will make arrangements with you regarding your arrival.

We usually respond quickly, especially during the day, and will make sure your stay on Bonaire is unforgettable.
Other things to note
