Not what it used to be….
My stay was from 5/31 to 6/8/25. I have stayed at Den Laman many times over the years since 2006(?). There is no longer an onsite office that can remedy simple issues. I had to make contact via text using WhatsApp. The response time was reasonable. Two reasons that I may stay somewhere else on my next visit to Bonaire: 1. There is now a sewage smell (despite their cleaning efforts) as you enter the building on the ground floor. 2. The mattress in the particular unit (The Flounder) that I rent is the same mattress that I've slept on since 2012. It hurt my back and needs to be replaced. Fantastic place with a downbeat vibe
The apartement is next to a private pier, from where you can snorkle directly. Very cosy and friendly surroundings and hosts. The only negative is the terrace, which is turning north /east - it has very little sun and is very windy. Communication with Sunwise was excellent
We stayed at Den Laman and rented through Sunwise Bonaire. A great experience. Location was perfect for us, just outside of the hustle and bustle but still close to everything. We laughed when asked how far something was. “10 minutes to the airport, 10 minutes to Andrea I and II, 10 minutes to the grocery store, 10 minutes to downtown, 10 minutes to the Salt Pier.” Communication with Sunwise was excellent. Cecile answered all questions I had before we arrived. Simon meet us at the condo and checked us in since there is no receptionist on site. We had one small request while there, and they took care of it right away. The condo was well stocked with all necessities. Will definitely stay there again!
