Comfortable and convenient

Three of us stayed at Cecile and Simon's place for about a week. It's very close to the main road and there are two dive shops pretty much right next door to the apartment and you can go shore diving or snorkeling right behind the building.
Simon met us on the first day to provide us with the key cards to get into the apartment and unit and showed us around and let us know more about the house rules. It was nice having a balcony as well as the pictured hammock. The unit had two bedrooms and two bathrooms as pictured. One room had a king size bed and the other had two twin sized beds that can be pushed together to make a larger bed.
The building is also about a 20 minute walk to downtown Kralendijk where most of the restaurants are, but there are also closer restaurants at the neighboring resorts like Buddy Dive.
I think the only issue we had was with the internet going down one day, as two of us were working remotely, and had to use our phones to access the internet until resolve. Read more

The host was very responsive and easy to work with!

Unit is nice and spacious, full kitchen and balcony with views of the ocean. It’s a top-floor unit with a few levels of stairs. Air conditioning in each room works well. Decent amount of kitchen utensils and some spices to cook with. The beds were very comfortable. Could accommodate 2 couples or a family easily.
There is an entryway right into the ocean and Bari reef out front. Breezes and Bites restaurant and Dive Friends Dive Shop are on the first floor. You can walk to the plaza across the street too for more dining. The new park is right next door.
The host was very responsive and easy to work with and accommodated a late check as nobody was coming in directly after us. The only small complaint was the unit could use an upgraded TV. We could not use our fire stick to stream or turn the unit off and on with the remote. Read more

A great place

Bonesheades To Bonaire – that was our text thread name

Upon arrival we were met by an agent for the company. She was very nice and attentive. She walked us through the condo and explained everything to us. There were a few things that we noticed. The door to the front balcony off the living area would not lock. The water pressure was not good all the time. The WIFI, (that you probably don't have much control over) was slow at times. The AC was fantastic, cooled off quickly and kept the condo cool the whole time. The proximity to the water was great. The entry needs some work. Great stay in The Shark!

This was our second time to stay at Den Laman and it will not be our last! We (4 of us) thought The Shark was great and had everything we needed. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen worked really well. We dove and ate and repeated that for our whole time. Great accommodations for divers. We did have an issue with the internet not working well but an email to Cecile at Sunwise and we were back on in a flash. The people at Sunwise really respond quickly to your messages and want to make sure you enjoy your stay. Read more

Den Laman/San Dollar condo rental

Renting a condo at Den Laman is NOT recommended for divers with an interest in underwater photography/videography. The simple reason being that the adjoining dive center is making it impossible to dive at this place with local UW camera enthusiasts who are not staying at Den Laman. I have been diving many places in the world and this adjoining dive center is the most unfriendly I have been to. The corporate "Dive friends Bonaire" spread out over Bonaire is more interested in $ than being a friendly enterprise providing good affordable service for divers. You are better off going to other places in the Caribbean or use other services than "Dive friends of Bonaire" Read more

Clean and had everything we needed
