The nearest supermarket Zhung Kong is 1.2 kilometers away, restaurant CHEFS Bonaire is 900 meters away, and dive center Dive Friends Den Laman is located just 5 meters away. You can park for free both on the premises and on the street.

Just a stone's throw away lies Bari Reef and Isidel Beach Park, one of the most spectacular snorkeling and diving locations in the Caribbean. According to REEF, Bari Reef ranks number 1 in fish diversity, with over 300 different fish species observed. The reef is easily accessible from shore and offers both shallow water for snorkelers and deeper areas for divers. The adjacent Isidel Beach Park has facilities like showers and a restaurant, making it easy to spend an entire day there. An absolute must for every water sports enthusiast!

Where you'll stay
The neighborhood
Residential strip north of Kralendijk, from Harbour Village towards Sabadeco. Close to various beach clubs and dive resorts and the northern shore diving sites, with restaurants and shops within short driving distance. Hato combines convenience and tranquility: pleasant for families and water sports enthusiasts who want to get out quickly, but prefer to stay in a quiet neighborhood in the evenings.
Getting around
A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Den Laman Yellow Tail Snapper in Hato. With your own car, all corners of the island are reachable at your own pace, from remote snorkeling spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone to rent a car, as you'll then be able to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There is no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Wonderful Vacation
Our stay at Oceanfront Yellow Tail Snapper at Den Laman was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. The accommodation is spacious and the kitchen had everything we needed. We started our day with a coffee on the ocean front balcony and ended our day there with a glass of wine listening to the ocean and watching night divers. The sunsets off the balcony were amazing. The snorkeling off the beach was beautiful and one of the best we had on the island. (We are snorkelers and not divers but there were many divers who came to the area). You cannot beat the location. Many restaurants within walking distance and a very easy walk to the boardwalk and downtown. We enjoyed dinner and many happy hours at Breezes and Bites. The hosts were very responsive and checked in with us during our stay. The only thing holding back from 5 stars is that it would be nice to have chairs or loungers at the beach area to relax in. Best View in Bonaire
We had a great stay in the Yellow Tail Snapper unit in January, with the exception of the mattress. It was so terribly firm that we went out and spent $219 on a mattress topper, which I don’t regret at all because it really saved our backs, and we ended up leaving it behind to help future guests. But the view is spectacular! The location is perfect! You literally can’t get any closer to the ocean. And the convenience of the dive shop onsite with the gear storage area was really awesome. The diving right there off the pier is phenomenal! We heard that snorkeling right there and right next door in front of Chogogo is fantastic too but we just dove the reef. At night, divers and snorkelers with lights will attract the big tarpon. One thing I really wish the condo had was a washing machine, because swimwear after a couple days in the ocean gets to smelling a bit funky and hand washing is a pain and doesn’t do as good a job. There isn’t a drain plug that properly fits the sinks either. Definitely could benefit from laundry facilities if staying a week or more. Location is conveniently close to a few eateries as well. We walked to Pizza Mare, Doner Station, Luciano’s, Eddy’s, the beach bar at Chogogo, and of course Breeze ‘n Bites which is on the first floor of Den Laman. Simply perfect
Yellow Tail Snapper Apartment was ideal for us, the unit itself is simple yet it has everything you need. You can’t beat being oceanfront, having Dive Friends on the premises, diving off the dock, and having so many options for dinner that are walking distance. In addition to that all of the staff at Sunwise are really great at keeping you informed and taking care of issues promptly if anything arises. We give it a 10 out of 10! Great stay in Yellow Tail Snapper
Great unit; nice to relax on the outdoor balcony and enjoy the sunset after a day of diving. Unit was clean and well maintained, perfect for an extended stay. For divers the location is ideal; Dive Friends shop on site, lots of parking, easy to load up tanks and head out for the day. Having rinse tubs and secure storage on site is also a bonus. Easy check-in and check-out. We didn't have any problems during our stay but good to know that Simon and Cecile are only a phone call away if anything comes up. You can use the free parking facilities both on the premises and on the street.
