Kas Sumba is a water villa located in the Water Villas Bonaire complex in the heart of Kralendijk, directly at the Laguna Marina. From this unique location, you overlook the lagoon where sailing and motor boats are moored. The villa has an area of 180 m² and is situated on the second floor. Van den Tweel supermarket is within 2.1 kilometers, Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach are 1.2 kilometers away, Sebastian’s Restaurant is 1.3 kilometers away, and Dive Friends Port Bonaire is 1.1 kilometers away. You have access to a private pool where you can cool off while enjoying views over the lagoon waters.
Layout of the villa
The villa has three spacious bedrooms, each equipped with air conditioning for comfortable sleep, and three bathrooms. The open kitchen directly adjoins the living room and is fully equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. The living room features air conditioning and provides access to the covered veranda and terrace. Outside, you'll enjoy a private garden with pool, perfect for relaxing while overlooking the lagoon.

About a half-hour drive from Kas Sumba lies Washington Slagbaai National Park, a true natural paradise covering almost a third of the island. This protected area harbors a fascinating variety of landscapes: from cactus savannas and mangrove forests to dramatic coastlines and saltwater lagoons. You can choose between the short route that takes you through the interior to Brandaris, Bonaire's highest mountain at 241 meters, or the long route along spectacular coastal points like Playa Chikitu and Boka Kokolishi. Don't forget your camera – there's a good chance you'll encounter Caribbean flamingos, iguanas, and even wild donkeys during your exploration of this unique natural area.

- Stairs – The villa is located on the second floor and is accessible via stairs, which may be less suitable for guests with mobility issues
- City sounds – Due to the central location in Kralendijk, you might occasionally hear the cheerful Caribbean sounds of nightlife in the background during evenings
- No dryer – There's no dryer available, but thanks to the Caribbean sun and constant trade winds, your laundry dries within hours outside

The neighborhood
Kralendijk center with the boulevard, piers, sailing and motor boats at the mooring buoys, and colorful facades: here you're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the boulevard in the evenings. For divers and snorkelers, Playa is an excellent base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience, and the shortest travel times to amenities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk.
Getting around
A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Kas Sumba in Kralendijk. With your own car, you can reach all corners of the island at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone rent a car, as it enables you to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There's no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Very comfortable house in a perfect location (close to Kralendjik center, easy access to the south dive sites and the north ones also -- very close to VIP Diving tank refills!). Beautiful house in a nice place

We felt very comfortable!
The house was very well furnished and we felt right at home! Very good beds, bedding and pillows. Despite the proximity to the airport and although we are very sensitive to noise, the few planes never bothered us. Beautiful spot on the dock, which was especially nice in the morning. As a diver in Bonaire, the house was the ideal starting point to dive all corners of the island.
The pool is small but completely adequate, we only wish it had been cleaner at check-in. Nespresso coffee maker was also there, so everything was fine!
As Europeans, we were not used to locking sliding doors on closing and immediately locked ourselves out. Fortunately, we were quickly helped and from then on we always did not lock the entrance door.

Beautiful location
We were able to enjoy Kas Sumba for over 2 weeks. This semi-detached villa is perfectly located in a cosy and quiet waterfront area. We mainly lived outside but also inside it is fully equipped and every room has air conditioning. Kas Sumba is ideally located for exploring the island close to Kralendijk. We also slept wonderfully due to the comfort of the beds. Sunwise's service was, as always, very good. In short, renting Kas Sumba through Sunwise is highly recommended!

Lovely house with lots of space
Lovely house with lots of space, where everything was present.
Beds are good.
Located on the water; you see many boats passing by without being a nuisance or disturbing your privacy, but gives lots of nice things to see.
Pool is great with the high temperatures locally.
Close to airport (no nuisance as not many planes fly), close to town and supermarket.
Car rental definitely desirable in Bonaire so entire island can see, no public transportation or cabs.

Too nice host
Was great, beautiful house warm interior, good pool.
We had too nice host and everything was clear.
We were with a fam of 5 and there was plenty of room.
The house was right next to the airport so easy to find.

As a guest of Kas Sumba, you have access to the complete villa with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, the fully equipped kitchen, air-conditioned living room, covered veranda, terrace, and private garden. The private pool is exclusively for your use, as well as the parking space on the premises. All amenities mentioned in the description are freely accessible during your stay. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanations about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we personally handle all arrivals! The Sunwise hosts of the accommodation will arrange your arrival with you.

Check-in is from 3PM, check-out by 10AM. Earlier or later check-in or check-out is possible upon request, depending on other guests. Smoking and pets are not allowed in our accommodations.
