Belnem Breeze Rileks is a comfortable apartment in Bonaire Beach Apartments in the Belnem neighborhood. The 110 m² apartment offers partial sea views and a convenient location: supermarket Good and More at 100 meters, Bachelor’s Beach at 1 kilometer, Foodies at Lac Bay at 8 kilometers and dive center Dive Friends Delfins at 1 kilometer. The apartment is located on the ground floor and provides access to a shared regular swimming pool with a pleasant pool deck in the communal garden.
Layout of the apartment
The apartment has two bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, and two full bathrooms. The open kitchen connects directly to the living room and leads out onto the balcony overlooking the communal garden and pool deck. Outside, you can relax on the balcony and use the shared garden. The kitchen is practically equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, coffee maker, freezer, kettle and oven, making it easy to prepare your own meals during your stay.

From Belnem Breeze Rileks it’s only a few minutes’ drive to Bachelor’s Beach, a beloved beach on the southern edge of Kralendijk. This narrow strip of sand lies at the foot of a low cliff, giving it a cozy, tucked-away feel. It’s an excellent spot to relax between swims and to snorkel along the shoreline. Bring your mask and snorkel to explore the clear water and many reef fish, and feel free to stay into the late afternoon for a laid-back end to the day.
Just so you know
- No BBQ – Barbecuing isn’t possible here, but there are several coastal spots and beach bars nearby where you can enjoy open-air dining.
- Unpaved access road – The access road is unpaved and a bit bumpy, but easily manageable with a regular rental car.
- No A/C in the living room – The living room has no air-conditioning, but with a ceiling fan and open doors to the balcony you’ll usually have a pleasant breeze.

The neighborhood
South of the center and toward the salt pans, Belnem is one of Bonaire’s best-known residential and vacation areas, traditionally linked to Harry Belafonte. Over time, Belnem has become an umbrella name for upscale sub-neighborhoods such as La Palma, Sabal Palm, Lima, Punt Vierkant and Playa Esmeralda. Here you’re close to popular south coast beaches like Bachelor’s Beach and iconic dive sites, perfect for sunsets and relaxed beach life. It’s a quiet residential area with quick routes to the airport and downtown Kralendijk.
Getting around
Belnem Breeze Rileks in Belnem is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings. With your own vehicle you can explore remote snorkeling spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We recommend renting a car so you can truly get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park’s roads are unpaved and sometimes rough. There is no public transport and taxis are limited, especially on busy cruise days.

The location is great. The host was responsive. The pool area was appreciated. Out of the host's control was the blowing dirt from nearby construction. We read a review mentioning this but thought it couldn't be as bad as the person said. it was. The beautiful patio was unusable. We swept several times the first 2 days but finally gave up. We were both working on this trip and our computers were covered in dirt after a couple of hours working outside. So for 8 days we worked inside. Really disappointed. Again, this isn't the host's fault, but it's worth checking to see if the construction is done before booking unless sitting on the patio isn't important. Super location. Great hosts. Bad dirt. Loved our 15 nights in Bonaire. We have vacationed in both Aruba and twice in Curacao and found Bonaire to be so laidback and relaxing. Best snorkeling that we have ever seen. The 3rd floor unit had a fabulous ocean view on 3 sides. The unit was super clean and modern. The beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the high quality linens. Great quiet location and safe neighbourhood. The apartment was exactly what we expected on the interior. Everything you would need. Very nicely decorated. All kitchen utensils except a toaster. The apartment provides beach chairs and a cooler which was very convenient. The host was very attentive and available if you needed. You definitely need a car to get into town or the beaches from this location. There is unfinished housing around the apartment building which creates a lot of dirt and dust. The outdoor balcony view was nice however the dirt covered the porch and all of the furniture everyday. It was hard to continue cleaning so we gave up. It was very unfortunate for us as we rented an apartment with a balcony specifically as we love to sit outdoors. You can’t do that here. The couch is ruined with dirt unfortunately. What a fantastic place! The view is breathtaking. There's still construction going on right in front of the apartment, but that didn't bother us at all. The apartment has everything you need for a wonderful holiday. There are restaurants nearby and a supermarket just around the corner. You can park your car in your own parking space. The apartment is beautiful and the hosts are lovely. We got greeted personally and also had a personal goodbye when we left. We had an issue with the safe which was immediately taken care of. The location is greet as well. There are walkable restaurants available and the drive to the city centre with tons of options is less than 10 minutes. We spent 12 days here and loved it. A beautiful and spacious apartment with all the amenities: plenty of towels, linens, a washing machine, beach chairs, a fully equipped kitchen, and so on. The air conditioning is only in the two bedrooms, but if you open the doors, the rest of the apartment cools down automatically. We enjoyed it so much that I'm going back in March! We had a great time at Belnem Breeze top floor apartment. It was clean, spacious and tastefully decorated! It had everything we needed, even a private washer in the unit. It's in a good location on the island, close to the Bachelor's beach, airport and downtown. We're happy we chose this place for our vacation. This place was incredible. It was better than expected close to the beach and right next door to a little grocery store. Mark was great! He met us at check in/check out, was responsive but no overwhelming and even helped carry our bags up. The condo was clean roomy and the pool area and lockers for beach/dive equipment was amazing. You can also make use of the communal garden and the swimming pool with pool deck of Bonaire Beach Apartments, as well as parking both on the premises and on the street. To warmly welcome our guests and provide information about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals in person.
