Sailboard Vacation at Jibe City
Having the flat right at Jibe City was the best of all worlds. I could come and go without worries, and no travel required. The flat was very clean and secluded from the rest of the property. Don't forget to mention the grill alcove too. The flat had a minimal feel, but had most of the amenities for every aspect of comfortable stay. Though I researched the property and
Googled the address, it wasn't clear where the flat was. There's a cover over the deck outside that hides the view from mapping the flat. Asking the staff was an easy fix. The location was right next to many best activities to book on the island. I also took advantage of the massage services with Ladina. Well worth it after a week of sailboarding.
I didn't have too many meals at the Beach Bar. The food was good, and a good value. I wouldn't rate it exceptional. Guests should understand there is a party night on Saturday evenings. Music plays until 10:30pm if I remember correctly. Don't plan for a quiet evening on Saturday. I had food delivered as I didn't rent a car. Just a lovely setting
PERFECT for wind surfing, wind foiling. We enjoy the eateries within walking here, also. Just a lovely setting. There is no tv, which we like, but only issue we have is the internet does not reach the bedroom. Also, spotty everywhere else in Flaka apartment. We complained about this to management when we were here Aug 2024. Surely, that can be improved??! (I am bringing my own wi-fi extender next time. Hopefully, that will work.) Incredible location!
Incredible location for Windsurf and WingFoiling. Able to dry equipment in front of unit, but no accommodations to clean the equipment so do it at the beach. If there’s a mosquito net, use it! Nov - Jan is wet season so the mosquitoes are overload. Super dark at night. We used the dehumidifier on the split ac units abd it cooled the unit better than the ac mode. Amazing windsurfing holiday!
We had an amazing windsurfing holiday! Staying right behind the surf school and rental shop was awesome, allowing us to be among the first out on the water each day. The beach bar was another highlight, offering delicious food, great coffee, and refreshing drinks just steps away. However, if you’re seeking a quieter spot to relax, you may want to explore nearby beaches during the bar’s opening hours. A great experience
We had a great experience at Sunwise beach location. Most convenient to the local activities. Our host Christian was very quick to respond, accommodating and friendly. PERFECT, BEAUTIFUL
We picked Flocka specifically so we could simply walk outside to Jibe City, grab a board, and go wind surfing . . . PERFECT.
The bar does not serve coffee until 8:00 am, and food until 9:00 am. We had the whole bay to ourselves from sunrise until then. BEAUTIFUL. The bar is open until 9pm on Thursday nights, but other than that, everything is super quiet by 7pm. This worked perfect for us, because we are super early risers and to bed. If you are looking for night life do NOT stay here!!
The one-bedrm apt was perfect for us. A/c was awesome. I was skeptical, because this apartment is not a resort, but we were perfectly comfortable and everyone was sooooo nice.
We took advise and rented a pickup. The roads are pretty bad. Found 2 restaurants in town w/ a/c, Luciano's and Between 2 Buns. Otherwise, Blooz has lots of ceiling fans. Apartment Flaka Lac Bay
We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Everything is there to make your stay pleasant. A good bed. Fine living and sleeping area. The apartment had 2 air conditioners so everyone was comfortable and a well equipped kitchen. The decor is simple and not luxurious but that totally goes with the place you are in. You roll right into one of the most beautiful bays the Caribbean has. Surfing Valhalla. Shallow water as far as you can see. Great food and drinks at the hangout. Lovely week. We will be back.
