WS Turtle is a spacious apartment in the Belnem neighborhood, located in the Windsock Beach Apartments complex. From the balcony you have partial ocean views and with approximately 120 m² of living space there is plenty of room to relax. Van den Tweel supermarket is 4.1 kilometers away, Bachelor’s Beach 250 meters, restaurant Ocean Oasis 2 kilometers and dive center Dive Friends Port Bonaire 1.3 kilometers. The apartment is on the second floor and guests have access to the communal outdoor pool on the pool deck.
Layout of the apartment
The apartment features two bedrooms: the master bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with a queen-size bed. There are two bathrooms, which is convenient when staying with several people. The open kitchen connects directly to the living room and the terrace and is equipped with a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, coffee maker and kettle. Outside, you can relax on the balcony overlooking the shared tropical garden and pool deck.

From WS Turtle you can reach Bachelor’s Beach in just a few minutes, a small sandy beach on the southern edge of Kralendijk. The beach sits at the foot of a low rock wall, creating a cozy, sheltered feel. It’s a lovely spot for swimming and snorkeling in clear water with plenty of reef fish. Bring your snorkel gear, as there is a nice coral area right offshore. Thanks to its west-facing location, this is also a pleasant place to enjoy the late afternoon sun and colorful Caribbean skies.

- No indoor dining table – There is no separate dining table inside, but outside you can enjoy relaxed meals in the Caribbean open air.
- No dryer – There is no tumble dryer, but laundry usually dries quickly in the warmth and breeze.
- No A/C in the living room – The living room has no air conditioning, but with the trade winds and open doors it stays comfortable.

The neighborhood
South of the center and towards the salt pans lies one of Bonaire’s best-known residential and vacation areas, traditionally linked to Harry Belafonte. Belnem has grown into an umbrella name for upscale sub-neighborhoods like La Palma, Sabal Palm, Lima, Punt Vierkant and Playa Esmeralda. Here you are close to popular south-coast beaches such as Bachelor’s Beach and iconic dive sites, ideal for sunsets and relaxed beach life. It’s a quiet residential area with quick routes to the airport and downtown Kralendijk.
Getting around
WS Turtle in Belnem is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings. With your own car you can reach remote snorkel spots, south-coast beaches and local restaurants all over the island at your own pace. We recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere you want to go. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The park’s roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, and there is no public transport and only a limited number of taxis, especially on busy cruise days.

Thank you for a great stay
Our stay at Windsock was incredible. The walking path to our place was the best part of the entry and exit each day. Easy to access and great location across from snorkeling, beach club and down the street from the road leading to Lac Bay. The inside was wonderful and comfortable. WS Turtle great place
Great place to stay, clean and nice beds. The host was very responsive, walkable from restaurants and Bachelors beach. The only thing we didn’t like was the pool, it matched the photos and description but with two young daughters it just wasn’t big enough and we couldn’t see the pool from our apartment, for that reason we won’t stay here again.

Nice place
Nice place, a little further away from everything so car is desirable. Which we had so no problem. Spacious and clean apartment. Near a great beach with very fine sand and very nice snorkeling. By car less than 5 minutes. ( opposite airport) the only downside to everything was the well too small pool. You can not swim. Bit of dipping. We hardly use it but sometimes in between to cool off very small. Otherwise everything absolutely top and satisfactory. Quick response to questions.

Amenities were good, very complete
The four of us stayed on the island for two weeks. The reception was good, someone was waiting for us with an explanation of the apartment. There was always space in the parking lot. Almost exclusively sat on the balcony which was very nice. Kitchen and amenities were good, very complete. In the two bedrooms the air conditioning worked well, was good to keep cool. Only downside was that there was a clog in the master bathroom, which took a little longer than desired to act on. Definitely recommended to spend a few weeks on Bonaire! Delightful luxury apartment
Delightfully luxurious apartment with everything available for self-catering. Beds were big and laid out. Nice parking on site.
Also a nice barbecue place and outdoor table to eat.

Dushi Windsock Turtle.
Lovely spacious apartment on the wind with a large terrace and a little sea view. Super clean and tastefully decorated. Everything was there so we did not have to go straight to the supermarket. Very thoughtful and attention to details. We felt immediately at home. We were joined by the little singing bird we call Birdy who lives very close by. Fantastic Windsock Turtle!
Our stay at Windsock apartment Turtle was in one word : fantastic! Upon arrival we were welcomed by the host who was also very relaxed. Apartment was exactly as in the photos and description and everything of great quality. We loved our spacious balcony. Amazing apartment
We had a lovely stay in this amazing apartment! Where I normally live on vacation from suitcases, I felt right at home here in such a way that the contents of the suitcases also had to go straight into the cabinets.

As a guest of WS Turtle you have access to the entire apartment, including the two bedrooms, the two bathrooms, the open kitchen, the living room and the balcony. You can also use the shared garden and pool deck with the outdoor swimming pool within the Windsock Beach Apartments complex. Parking is free on the premises. To warmly welcome our guests and to provide information about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals in person. The Sunwise hosts of the apartment will arrange a meeting time with you for your arrival.

The Sunwise team will do everything possible to make your stay at WS Turtle as pleasant as can be. During your vacation we are available for questions, tips and any assistance you might need. You can best reach us via email or WhatsApp of the Sunwise guest team for WS Turtle, or through the messaging platform of the site where you made your booking. We usually respond quickly during daytime hours so you can enjoy your time on Bonaire without worries.
Other things to note
Check-in at WS Turtle is from 3PM, and check-out is by 10AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request, depending on other guests’ arrival and departure times.
