Nicole and Johan were friendly, efficient and took care of problems immediately. The microwave wasn't working and a brand new one was brought in the next day. This was our 7th time we stayed at Port Bonaire. A60l does need some TLC compared to other units. Since there is no AC (unbearable in the heat) in the living/kitchen area, we were unable to keep the front door open to let more air in, because the screen door bottom sweeper was broken. Insects were coming in. Kitchen hood fan, lights and undercounter lights were not working. There is no dining table inside the unit. Read more

Great location and gorgeous views

I will start with the positive things about this unit, if you are a diver, kite border, or just someone looking to be close to the southern dive sites, town, or groceries, this is a fabulous location! As a diver having Dive Friends onsite, could not have been more convenient. The size of the bedrooms are very adequate and the unit provides you with plenty of towels, the kitchen is really well stocked with pots, pan, dishes, etc. We were even able to host some friends for dinner one night which was really great. The negatives started by the day after we occupied the unit, a big puddle of water in front of the sink, the air conditioner in the master bedroom did not cool well at all. The ac in the second bedroom at 20 degrees Celsius was super chilly, the master at 16 degrees, was barely cool. It took a couple of days to get the plumbing in the kitchen sorted out, but it got fixed, they serviced the AC in the master but unfortunately the unit never cooled properly. There was also always a funky smell in the kitchen that we attributed to the sink having been draining water but days later when we opened the dishwasher it had several inches of water in it. We ran the washing machine and tried cleaning some dishes later but did not clean well. After the sink issue and the AC, we just decided not to contact our property manager who had just become a Dad, and concentrated on enjoying our trip and dealing with the things that were amiss. We want to come back :)

Staying on Bonaire is in itself already a luxury. However, if you also have a wonderful apartment, then your stay is enhanced. When that apartment is overlooking the sea and just a 2-minute walk from a white sand beach - then WOW! Can that get even better? Yes, when you add on the service from Sunwise. Jeroen's personal attention and availability allowed us to be totally relaxed and able to fully enjoy our holiday. We have already started saving to come back. Read more

Awesome Location – highly recommended!

We had a great vacation on Bonaire. Port Bonaire Reef 601 is a really beautiful appartement on ground floor with direct access to a large terrasse with pool. 601 is clean and well furnished. It's just one minute away from the airport, so you can arrive on foot. You can go snorkeling directly on site or cool down in the shared pool. Awesome Te Amo beach ist not more than 100m away from the appartment complex. By the way - Jeroen is a very friendly and pleasant host. :) Hope to come back in future. Read more

Winter escape

It is not first time we've visited this place. Location is on main floor, easy access to the pool and ocean. Very convenient . Kitchen is very well equipped, comfortable beds. However, since we have visited many times few things have changed now. We would have to pay extra $ for cleaning and change of sheets. So I had to ask for spare bedsheets as I washed them myself. Also not enough beach towels...had to ask for more. And lastly, since I've been changing bedsheets I did not like what I've seen under. The protectors of matrace and pillows were in a bad condition. I had to wash it as well. I really don't enjoy sleeping in someone else's sweat. Rental is pretty high price so I would expect this to be the basic service. Other then that we enjoyed our stay. The managers are terrific, friendly, efficient and timely

The managers are terrific, friendly, efficient and timely for all encounters. The unit 601A was quiet; never heard the neighbors and even though it is close to the airport there was little disturbance. Parking is right outside the unit. The view was of water. The kitchen was extremely well supplied as well as modern. Nice touches were fish/bird books, extra masks/ snorkels, coolers. The security gates were welcomed. Right next door was the great company DiveFriends. USA plugs were fine.
Only negatives: chains on lights need to be longer, the guests need to demonstrate unlocking the front door which is tricky and access to the washer needs to be uncluttered.
Would stay here again without hesitation.
