Just a short drive away lies 1000 Steps, one of Bonaire's most iconic snorkeling and diving spots. Despite the name, there are actually about 67 steps leading down to this idyllic beach. The name originated because the stairs feel endlessly long after a dive with heavy equipment! 1000 Steps is popular with both snorkelers and divers due to the beautiful coral reef accessible directly from shore. The crystal-clear water and abundance of tropical fish make this an underwater paradise you can't miss.

- City sounds – On some evenings you'll hear the cheerful Caribbean tunes from downtown Kralendijk in the background
- No dishwasher – The kitchen is fully equipped except for a dishwasher. Washing dishes with a sea view is actually quite relaxing
- No dryer – There's no dryer available, but thanks to the Caribbean sun and trade winds, your laundry will be bone dry within hours

Downtown Kralendijk with the boulevard, piers, sailing and motor boats at the moorings, and colorful facades: here you're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy evening strolls along the boulevard. For divers and snorkelers, Playa is an excellent base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience, and the shortest travel times to amenities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk.
Getting around
A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Seaside Apartment Seastar 302 in Kralendijk. With your own car, all corners of the island are accessible at your own pace, from remote snorkeling spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone rent a car, as it enables you to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There's no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Great, central location
This was our first trip to Bonaire and we can't wait to visit again!! Great location with beautiful water and sunset views from the balconies! 15 minute walk along the water to get into town for dining. Central location to get to both southern and northern dive sites on the west coast.

Extremely satisfied
This is the 2nd time I have stayed here with Sunwise, & nothing is of too much trouble. Excellent communication, both before & during our stay (via WhatsApp). Also an excellent location to Dive Friends scuba centre, & with just a 10-15 minutes walk along the sea front to the town centre it is ideally located. Comfortable and great service

Property is clean
Property is clean and conveniently located to restaurants, grocery stores and a beautiful walk along the ocean front. neighbour in the property are friendly and interested in the users of the property. Comfortable apartment but outdated
Liked: The living room was very spacious. Nice beach view. Liked the big refrigerator. The bed is comfortable. The shower is very good with warm water. Had enough towels. Cecile was very communicative.
Disliked: The apartment is outdated, the oven did not work. There was one air-condition in the living room that did not work. The vent of the air-condition in the main sleeping room was broken, had to put a hanger to keep it open. The bathroom is spacious but the mirror was too far away and needed more light. I had no assigned parking space. There was construction going on by the pool, that no one told me about. Did not use the pool. The sleeping rooms are towards the main road, very noisy. As a guest of Seaside Apartment Seastar 302, you have access to the entire apartment, including both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the open kitchen, living room, and the balcony with sea views. Additionally, you can use the communal pool and shared garden of the Seaside Apartments complex. Free parking is available on the street in front of the accommodation. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanations about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals personally! The Sunwise hosts for the accommodation will make arrangements with you regarding your arrival.
