ChaChaCha Penthouse on the Bay is a spacious penthouse in Kralendijk, in the Chachacha Beach Apartments complex, directly by the sea with beautiful ocean views and views of Klein Bonaire. With approximately 120 m² (1290 ft²) of living space, it offers plenty of room. Van den Tweel supermarket is 750 meters away, Chachacha Beach 100 meters, restaurant Cuba Compagnie 400 meters and dive center Dive Friends Chachacha also 100 meters. The penthouse is on the third floor in American floor counting. Guests can use the shared garden; there is no pool in the complex.
Layout of the apartment
The penthouse has two bedrooms: bedroom 1 has one king-size bed and bedroom 2 has two single beds. There are two full bathrooms, which is convenient when traveling with several people. The bright living room opens onto a balcony with seating and sea views, overlooking the shared garden. The open kitchen connects directly to the living room and is equipped with built-in appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, coffee maker and kettle, making it easy to prepare your own meals here.

Within a short walk from ChaChaCha Penthouse on the Bay you’ll find the water taxi to Klein Bonaire, a pristine coral island just off the coast. Since 2001 this is part of the Bonaire National Marine Park and a protected nature reserve. On the west side you’ll find a long white sand beach with clear turquoise water and beautiful coral reefs full of fish and sometimes turtles. Bring plenty of drinking water, sun protection and snorkel gear, and plan a few hours here to fully enjoy the peace and nature.

- City sounds You’re staying in the heart of Kralendijk, so you may occasionally hear lively sounds from the boulevard and nearby bars and restaurants – for many guests this adds to the Caribbean atmosphere.
- No dishwasher There is no dishwasher, but the kitchen is otherwise fully equipped. Doing the dishes with a view of the tropical garden and Caribbean sky makes the chore a bit more pleasant.
- No dryer There is no tumble dryer, but on Bonaire your clothes and towels usually dry within a few hours on the balcony or in the garden thanks to the sun and breeze.

The neighborhood
Kralendijk center with its seafront promenade, piers, sailing and motor boats on the moorings and colorful facades puts you right among restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure points for various boat trips, including sunset tours and the water taxis to Klein Bonaire. It’s ideal if you want everything within walking distance and like to stroll along the boulevard in the evening. For divers and snorkelers, the Playa area is a great base thanks to quick access to the west coast sites; for foodies and shoppers this is the place to be. Expect vibrancy, convenience and the shortest travel times to the amenities in Bonaire’s main town, Kralendijk.
Getting around
ChaChaCha Penthouse on the Bay in Kralendijk is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer than just the immediate surroundings. With your own vehicle you can explore remote snorkel sites, dive spots and local restaurants all over the island at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can reach everything easily. Most roads are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is recommended because of the unpaved, sometimes rough tracks. There is no public transport and taxis are limited, especially on busy cruise ship days.

Perfect location and well-equipped penthouse offering spectacular views
I visited Bonaire with my 71-year old mom and was looking for accommodation within walking distance from the city center and the sea. This penthouse offered just that and more! The penthouse had everything we needed, from cooking pans to utensils to snorkeling gear, pool noodles, beach chairs, ice chest, coffee machine, toaster, water kettle etc. The view from the large terrace was amazing and watching some of the most magical sunsets was our favorite thing to do. On NYE, we were treated to a spectacular display of all the fireworks in the sky. The property manager, Luke, was super nice and responded quickly to all my questions. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would book again, for the ideal location, fully-equipped accommodation and friendly property manager. Beautiful apartment in a central location
During my diving holiday on Bonaire, I stayed in this apartment on the third and top floor. The apartment is fully equipped. From the apartment, you have a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea and Kralendijk. Just cross the street and you can take a dip in the sea at Chachacha. Snorkeling (and diving) is also possible right outside the door. The apartment is located on the edge of Kralendijk's town center, with its charming shops and restaurants. All at walking distance. Perfect location and view
Penthouse is walking distance to all restaurants. The view is beautiful, turquoise sea is just in front of you, you can have daily sunsets on spacious balcony, watch occasional cruise ship parking in port. Apartment was very functional. The view is unbeatable
I really enjoyed my time here! The unit is a great size, clean and the view is unbeatable. I felt very safe in the area and never had an issue finding a place to park. The location is great because you’re really close to everything, but as others have noted it can be very loud. I was able to sleep fine, but if you’re a light sleeper this might not be a great spot for you. If you want to explore the island, I highly recommend renting a car. Very spacious and comfortable
The apartment is very spacious and comfortable. It is very well located to walk to the restaurants at night. It is also in the middle between the northern and southern part of the island.

Really enjoyed my stay here
Really enjoyed my stay here. This location was really central to downtown Bonaire so super walkable to get to the hub of the town. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Great view of the ocean and we got to see cruise ships arrive and people watch.
Very clean location. Even though Bonaire is very humid the ACs worked great. It is also wheelchair accessible as they do have an elevator.
