Bonaire Beach Apartments 9 is a 120 m² apartment in the Bonaire Beach Apartments complex, located on the second floor in the center of Kralendijk, right on the Julio A. Abraham Boulevard. The apartment offers beautiful sea views throughout. Chachacha Beach is just 50 meters away, and the nearby restaurant At Sea is a mere 100 meters from the front door. Dive Friends Chachacha dive center is situated only 42 meters away — perfect for those eager to hit the water straight away. Supermarket Van den Tweel is reachable within 1.1 kilometers. The complex features a shared outdoor pool, available to all guests staying in the building.
Layout of the apartment
The apartment has two bedrooms, each furnished with a comfortable king-size bed, and two full bathrooms. The spacious living area flows seamlessly into a modern open-plan kitchen featuring a new kitchen counter and built-in appliances, including a stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, and kettle. Outside, you have your own balcony, and as a guest of the complex you also have access to the shared garden and pool deck. A dining table is available indoors, making it easy to enjoy meals at home or out on the balcony.

Drive about fifteen minutes north along the west coast and you'll reach one of the island's most iconic dive spots: 1000 Steps. The name sounds dramatic, but the stairway to the water actually counts just around 67 steps — though they do feel considerably longer on the way back up with a full set of dive gear! Once underwater, a stunning reef unfolds along a steep coral wall that drops to considerable depth and teems with marine life. The site is a favorite among snorkelers and experienced divers alike, and on a clear day the view from the rocks above the water alone is well worth the trip.
Just so you know
- No BBQ – Due to the complex setting, barbecuing on the premises isn't possible. Fortunately, there are plenty of great restaurants within walking distance, and public BBQ spots such as Seru Largu are easy to reach by car.
- No A/C in the living room – The bedrooms are fully air-conditioned for a comfortable night's sleep. In the living area, a ceiling fan and the option to open doors and windows keep things pleasantly cool in the evenings.
- City sounds – Staying in the center of Kralendijk means you may occasionally hear the lively sounds drifting up from the boulevard — think of it as the Caribbean soundtrack that comes with this vibrant location.

The neighborhood
Kralendijk's waterfront boulevard, with its docks, sailing and motor boats moored at buoys, and colorful facades, forms the backdrop for this apartment. You're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and the departure point for various boat trips — including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Perfect for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy an evening stroll along the boulevard. For divers and snorkelers, the Playa area is an excellent base thanks to quick access to the west coast dive sites; for food lovers and shoppers, this is simply the place to be. Expect vibrancy, convenience, and the shortest travel times to all the amenities Kralendijk has to offer.
Getting around
Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Bonaire Beach Apartments 9. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

Nice new apartment
Lovely new apartment, well equipped, two terraces, two bathrooms, more than adequate comfort with sea view and 50 m from the beach.

As a guest of Bonaire Beach Apartments 9, you have full access to the entire apartment: both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the open-plan living room and kitchen, and the private balcony with sea views. You also have access to the complex's shared outdoor pool, pool deck, and communal garden. The building is equipped with an elevator, and free parking is available on the premises. To give our guests a warm welcome and share everything they need to know about the apartment and the island, all arrivals are handled personally!
