Ocean Breeze Ocean Blue is a modern apartment located in the Ocean Breeze Resort on the Laguna Marina, the artificial lagoon between Kralendijk and the airport that connects to the Caribbean Sea via channels. This 65 m² apartment on the second floor offers a beautiful view over the lagoon. The accommodation is located 650 meters from dive center Dive Friends Port Bonaire, 800 meters from Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach, 1.6 kilometers from Sebastian’s Restaurant, and 2.2 kilometers from Van den Tweel supermarket. Guests have access to the regular communal swimming pool of the resort.

About 30 minutes' drive away lies Washington Slagbaai National Park, the first national park of the Netherlands Antilles established in 1969. This 5,600-hectare nature reserve covers almost a quarter of Bonaire and offers various routes through diverse landscapes. The long route leads along picturesque coastal points like Playa Chikitu, Boka Kokolishi, and Wayaka, while the short route goes through the interior to Brandaris, Bonaire's highest point at 241 meters elevation. The park harbors diverse ecosystems from mangroves to dry forests and is home to flamingos, iguanas, and more than 200 bird species.
Just so you know
- No dryer – There's no dryer available, but thanks to the constant sun and wind, your laundry will be bone dry within hours
- Stairs – The apartment is on the second floor and accessible via stairs, less suitable for guests with mobility issues
- No BBQ – Barbecuing isn't possible at the accommodation, but there are beautiful public BBQ spots like Donkey Beach and Seru Largu

The neighborhood
The Laguna Marina is the artificial lagoon between Kralendijk and the airport, connected to the Caribbean Sea via channels. Around the lagoon are villas, small-scale resorts and hotels (including Ocean Breeze, Plaza Beach Resort and Water Villas Bonaire), often with private docks. The water is sheltered and calm – perfect for kayaking, stand-up paddling and relaxed waterfront living – with direct sailing connection to the open sea and dive spots along the west coast.
Getting around
Ocean Breeze Ocean Blue in the Laguna Marina area is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings. With your own vehicle, you can reach all corners of this beautiful island at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone to rent a car, as it enables you to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There's no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship has docked.

Ocean Blue Bonaire
I stayed for 1 week in Ocean Blue Bonaire. It’s a wonderful, fully- equipped appartement with a GREAT balcony ( with lots of wind and a great view!). I had a relaxed holiday. The apartment is even more spacious than the photos suggest, with a sleek modern kitchen and a vibrant, roomy balcony overlooking a stunning marina view. Parking was super easy, which was a bonus. As a guest of Ocean Breeze Ocean Blue you have access to the entire apartment, including the bedroom, bathroom, open kitchen, living room, and the balcony with lagoon views. Additionally, you can use the communal swimming pool of the Ocean Breeze Resort and the parking facilities both on premises and on the street. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanation about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we personally handle all arrivals! The Sunwise hosts of the accommodation will make arrangements with you regarding your arrival.

Other things to note
Check-in is from 3PM and check-out should be by 10AM. Early or late check-in or check-out is possible upon request, depending on other guests.
