Traveling from the Netherlands to Bonaire again!
Travel advice for Dutch people to Bonaire, among other places and countries, will be adjusted from orange to yellow, unless the corona virus is not yet sufficiently controlled or unless countries do not yet welcome Dutch tourists or impose quarantine upon arrival.
Bonaire from code orange to yellow
We are slowly moving in the right direction! We have just heard from the press conference of Prime Minister Rutte that from June 15 it will again be possible to travel from the Netherlands to other countries within the EU / Schengen and to the Caribbean part of the Kingdom. The travel advice for Bonaire, among other places / countries, will then be adjusted from orange (holiday trips not recommended) to yellow (holiday trips possible, watch out for risks), unless the corona virus is not yet sufficiently controlled or unless countries do not yet welcome Dutch tourists or impose quarantine upon arrival.
As we know, there are no active COVID-19 cases on Bonaire and as far as quarantine measures for guests from the Netherlands are concerned, we will have to wait for the messages of our government in the coming days.
Now Bonaire still has to lift the airspace ban!
Whether changing the travel advice for Bonaire actually means that tourists from the Netherlands can travel freely to our island again, depends on when our airspace will be reopened and of course whether quarantine measures will still be in force.
Keep an eye on our updates in this blog, but actually the text of the government already reveals (in Dutch) that Bonaire will abandon the quarantine measures!
Goede morgen,
