Fishing is very popular on Bonaire because of its rich underwater world and diverse species of fish. Fishermens huts can serve as a base for local fishermen to for example store their gear. Since Bonaire’s underwater world contains many different species of fish, they are also frequently found on the menus of local restaurants.
