Villa Valena 9 is a cozy studio located in the bustling center of Kralendijk, within the Villa Valena complex. From the second floor, you’ll enjoy peaceful garden views over the green inner area. The 60 m² studio is just 500 meters from Chachacha Beach and 550 meters from At Sea restaurant. Van den Tweel supermarket is 1.1 kilometers away, and Dive Friends Yellow Submarine dive center is within 2.3 kilometers. You have access to the communal saltwater swimming pool, perfect for cooling off after a day full of adventures.

Layout of the apartment

This cozy studio combines all essentials within 60 m² and is perfect for two people. The bedroom features a comfortable bed, while the modern bathroom provides everything you need. The open kitchen borders directly on the living room and is equipped with a refrigerator, stove, freezer, coffee maker, and kettle. From your private balcony, you look out over the shared garden, a wonderful place to relax with your morning coffee or a glass of wine.

Sunwise insider tip

Just a few minutes' drive away you'll find 1000 Steps, one of Bonaire's most iconic dive and snorkel spots. The name is amusingly a bit misleading – it's actually about 67 steps that take you down to this idyllic little beach. This beautiful location is particularly popular with both snorkelers and divers because of the crystal-clear water and rich underwater world. The coral reef here is known for its diversity of tropical fish and is accessible for all levels. Don't forget your underwater camera!

Just so you know

• Stairs – The studio is located on the second floor and accessible via stairs, which may be less suitable for guests with limited mobility
• No dishwasher – The kitchen is otherwise fully equipped, and washing dishes with a view of the tropical garden is actually quite relaxing
• No dryer – There's no dryer available, but thanks to the Caribbean sun and wind, your laundry will be bone dry within hours

The neighborhood

Downtown Kralendijk with the boulevard, piers, sailboats and motorboats at the mooring buoys, and colorful facades: here you're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the boulevard in the evenings. For divers and snorkelers, Playa is a great base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience, and the shortest travel times to the amenities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk.

Getting around

A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Villa Valena 9 in Kralendijk. With your own car, all corners of the island are reachable at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone rent a car, as it enables you to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There's no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Guest access

As a guest of Villa Valena 9, you have access to the entire 60 m² studio, including the bedroom, bathroom, open kitchen, living room, and your own private balcony with garden views. Additionally, you can use the shared garden and communal swimming pool. Free parking is available on the complex's premises. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanations about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals personally! The Sunwise hosts for the accommodation will make arrangements with you about your arrival.

Other things to note

Check-in is from 3PM and check-out should be by 10AM. Early or late check-in and check-out are possible upon request, depending on other guests.
