The apartment and its balcony offer views of the ocean. Zhung Kong supermarket is 800 meters away, restaurant Rum Runners is 550 meters away, and dive center Dive Friends Den Laman is just 100 meters from the front door. The nearby Isidel Beach Park is reachable within 250 meters. The apartment includes access to the resort’s shared pool.

The apartment features two bedrooms, each with a comfortable king-size bed, and two bathrooms. One excursion you really shouldn't miss: the Cadushy Distillery in the historic village of Rincon. This is the only distillery on Bonaire, where liqueur is crafted from the kadushi cactus – the iconic columnar cactus that grows all across the island. During a visit you'll learn about the production process and get to taste the unique flavors of this special local spirit. The atmosphere in Rincon is warm and authentic, far removed from the touristy bustle. Combine the visit with a scenic drive through Bonaire's interior for a fuller picture of the island.

Just so you know

• No BBQ – Grilling at the apartment is not an option, but Bonaire has great public barbecue spots, such as Seru Largu, with sweeping views over the entire island.
• No dryer – There's no tumble dryer, but on sunny Bonaire laundry dries outdoors in no time at all – the combination of sun and trade winds does the job within a few hours.
• Stairs – The apartment is located on the second floor and is accessed by a staircase, which may be less suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Sand Dollar Golden Hour F16 is situated in Hato, the residential strip north of Kralendijk that runs between Harbour Village and Sabadeco. The neighborhood strikes a pleasant balance between convenience and tranquility: you're close to several beach clubs, dive resorts and the northern shore dive sites, with restaurants and shops just a short drive away. In the evenings, Hato settles into a peaceful calm, making it an ideal base for families and water sports enthusiasts who like to explore during the day and unwind in a quiet setting at night.

Getting around

To truly explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Sand Dollar Golden Hour F16 in Hato, renting a car is an absolute must. With your own wheels, every corner of Bonaire is within easy reach at your own pace – from secluded snorkeling spots to local restaurants. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is strongly recommended, as the park roads are unpaved and can be quite rugged. Keep in mind that there is no public transportation on Bonaire and taxis are limited in number, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.
