Kas Kurá is an apartment of approximately 50 m² located on the ground floor of the Caribbean Court complex in Kralendijk, the lively capital of Bonaire. The apartment looks out over the well-maintained garden. Van den Tweel supermarket is 1.9 kilometers away, Sebastian’s Restaurant is 450 meters away, Dive Friends Port Bonaire is 1.8 kilometers away, and Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach are 1.9 kilometers away. The complex features a shared outdoor swimming pool, and free parking is available on the premises.

Layout of the apartment

The apartment has one bedroom with a queen-size bed and one bathroom. The open-plan kitchen connects directly to the living area and is equipped with a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker and dishwasher — everything you need to cook your own meals. Outside, a private terrace adjoins the shared garden. An indoor dining table provides a comfortable spot for meals inside.

A few kilometers north of Kralendijk, you'll find one of Bonaire's most iconic dive and snorkel sites: 1000 Steps. The name sounds impressive, but the stairway down to the beach actually counts just around 67 steps — though after a dive with a full set of gear, it can certainly feel like a thousand. At the bottom, a spectacular reef landscape awaits, with crystal-clear water, impressive coral formations and an abundance of marine life. For snorkelers, the shallow entry area alone is a real treasure. Arrive early for the best conditions and the most peaceful experience.

• No dryer – There's no clothes dryer, but on Bonaire you'll barely miss it: the combination of constant sunshine and steady trade winds means laundry dries outdoors in no time at all.
• City sounds nearby – Given Kas Kurá's central location in Kralendijk, you may hear some noise from the boulevard or nearby bars on certain evenings — all part of the lively Caribbean atmosphere that comes with staying in the heart of the action.
• Shared garden – The grounds surrounding the Caribbean Court complex are shared with other guests. The garden is well-kept and green, but complete privacy outside is not guaranteed.

The neighborhood

Kas Kurá is located in the heart of Kralendijk, the capital and social hub of Bonaire. The Julio A. Abraham Boulevard — with its colorful waterfront buildings, moored sailboats and motorboats, and a lineup of restaurants and boutique shops — is right around the corner. Here, tourists and locals stroll side by side along the waterfront, boat trips to Klein Bonaire depart regularly and sunset tours set off within walking distance. For divers and snorkelers, the Playa area serves as an excellent base with fast access to the west coast sites. Foodies and shoppers will find the widest selection on the island right here. Expect vibrancy, convenience and the shortest travel times to everything Bonaire has to offer.

Getting around

While Kas Kurá's central location in Kralendijk puts many things within walking distance, renting a car is highly recommended once you're ready to explore more of the island. With your own wheels, you can reach secluded snorkel spots, quiet bays and local restaurants at your own pace. Most roads on Bonaire are paved and easy to navigate, but a pickup truck or SUV is strongly advised for a visit to Washington Slagbaai National Park — the unpaved tracks inside the park are rough and unsuitable for a regular passenger car. Bonaire has no public transportation, and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked in port.

Guest access

As a guest of Kas Kurá, you have full access to the entire apartment: the bedroom, bathroom, open-plan kitchen and living area, the terrace and the adjacent garden. You also have access to the shared outdoor swimming pool of the Caribbean Court complex and the free on-site parking. All spaces described in this listing are available for your use — with the exception of the shared garden and communal pool, which you share with other guests staying in the complex.

Other things to note

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM and check-out must be completed by 10:00 AM. Early or late check-in and check-out can be arranged on request, depending on availability from other guests.
