Kas Kurá is a 50 m² apartment on the ground floor of the Caribbean Court complex, situated in the center of Kralendijk. The apartment looks out onto the lush garden surrounding the complex. The Van den Tweel supermarket is 1.9 kilometers away, Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach are 1.9 kilometers away, Sebastian’s Restaurant is just 450 meters away, and Dive Friends Port Bonaire is 1.8 kilometers away. Guests have access to a shared outdoor swimming pool (standard pool) that is part of the complex.

Layout of the apartment

The apartment features one bedroom with a queen-size bed and one bathroom. The open kitchen flows directly into the bright living area and is equipped with a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher – everything you need for a relaxed, self-catered stay. Outside, a private terrace with garden views invites you to linger over your morning coffee in the shade of the complex's mature tropical greenery.

Sunwise insider tip

A must-visit is 1000 Steps, one of Bonaire's most iconic dive and snorkel sites along the west coast. Despite the name, you'll only descend around 67 steps to reach the beach – a fun fact that surprises most visitors. Once you're down there, a spectacular underwater world awaits along a vibrant coral reef. The reef starts just below the surface and gradually slopes deeper, making it ideal for both snorkelers and divers. Hauling your gear back up does take some effort, but the stunning marine life and the sheer beauty of the site make it absolutely worth every step.

• No dryer – There's no clothes dryer, but on Bonaire that's rarely an issue: the combination of sunshine and trade winds will have your laundry dry within a few hours.
• City sounds nearby – Given the central location, you may occasionally hear the lively sounds of Kralendijk in the background – think of it as a breezy Caribbean soundtrack that sets the mood perfectly.
• Shared garden – The garden surrounding the complex is shared with other guests and residents. It's a lush, tropical setting that everyone appreciates, and a great opportunity to connect with fellow travelers.

The neighborhood

Kas Kurá is located right in the heart of Kralendijk, Bonaire's colorful capital. Julio A. Abraham Boulevard – the island's main waterfront promenade – is the beating heart of local life: this is where boat trips depart to Klein Bonaire and sunset cruises set sail, where sailboats and motorboats bob on their moorings, and where you'll find a lively mix of restaurants, bars, boutiques, and small supermarkets. For divers and snorkelers, Kralendijk is an excellent base for accessing the west coast sites, while food lovers and shoppers will feel right at home. Expect vibrancy, convenience, and the shortest travel times to everything Bonaire has to offer.

Getting around

Although Kas Kurá is centrally located in Kralendijk with many amenities within walking distance, renting a car is highly recommended to fully explore the island. With your own wheels, every corner of Bonaire is within reach at your own pace – from secluded west coast snorkel spots to local restaurants in Rincon and the rugged landscapes of the north. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for visits to Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is strongly advised, as the park's internal roads are unpaved and can be quite rough for a standard vehicle. Public transportation is essentially non-existent, and taxis are limited in number – especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

Guest access

As a guest of Kas Kurá, you have full access to the entire apartment: the bedroom with its queen-size bed, the bathroom, the open-plan living area and kitchen, the private terrace with garden views, and the shared outdoor pool of the Caribbean Court complex. Free parking is available on the complex's own grounds. To give our guests a warm welcome and share everything they need to know about the property and our beautiful island, all arrivals are handled personally by our team. Other things to note

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early or late check-in and check-out may be possible upon request, depending on the availability of the apartment. Smoking and pets are not permitted in our properties. We kindly ask that you keep noise to a minimum during the evening hours out of respect for neighbors and fellow guests.
