Bonaire Beach Apartments 8 is a 120 m² apartment in the lively Bonaire Beach Apartments complex, centrally located in the Kralendijk neighborhood along Julio A. Abraham Boulevard. The apartment is situated on the second floor and overlooks the complex’s lush tropical gardens. Chachacha Beach is just 45 meters away, dive center Dive Friends Chachacha is 42 meters away, and restaurant At Sea is a mere 100 meters from your door. Supermarket Van den Tweel is 1.1 kilometers away. The complex features a shared outdoor swimming pool and a generous pool deck.
Layout of the apartment
The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Both bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 are equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, ensuring all guests sleep in style. The open-plan kitchen connects directly to the living area and features a brand-new kitchen unit with built-in appliances, including a stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle. Make sure to set aside an afternoon or evening to visit Rincon, the oldest village in the Dutch Caribbean. Rincon is tucked away in a lush green valley surrounded by hills – a deliberate choice in earlier centuries, as the location kept the village virtually invisible to pirates patrolling the coastline. Today, Rincon still radiates an authentic, unhurried atmosphere unlike anywhere else on Bonaire. A must-do while you're there is a stop at the Cadushy Distillery, the island's only distillery, where you can sample liqueur crafted from the native kadushi cactus. From the apartment, you can reach Rincon in just over fifteen minutes by car.
Just so you know
- No BBQ – Due to the apartment's location within the complex, barbecuing on-site isn't an option. Fortunately, restaurant At Sea is just 100 meters away, and there are great BBQ spots elsewhere on the island to enjoy that classic outdoor grilling experience.
- City sounds – Living right in the heart of Kralendijk means you may hear the cheerful sounds of island life in the background on some evenings – think of it as your very own Caribbean soundtrack at sunset.
- No A/C in the living area – The bedrooms are air-conditioned for a cool and restful night's sleep. In the living room, ceiling fans, portable fans and the pleasant breeze coming through the open balcony doors keep things comfortable.

The neighborhood
Kralendijk's waterfront boulevard, piers, sailboats and motorboats bobbing at their moorings, colorful facades lining the streets: this is the heart of it all. You're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Perfect for those who want everything within walking distance and love an evening stroll along the boulevard. For divers and snorkelers, the Playa neighborhood is an excellent base thanks to quick access to west coast dive sites; for foodies and shoppers, this is simply the place to be. Expect vibrancy, convenience and the shortest travel times to everything Bonaire's capital has to offer.
Getting around
Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of Bonaire Beach Apartments 8. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.

Beautiful, spacious and clean apartment, with a large balcony. Everything was well arranged, from arrival to departure. The kitchen is well equipped with all the basic amenities: a kettle, coffee maker, oven, large refrigerator with freezer, and dishwasher. We were also offered the option of a late check-out, which was wonderful with a flight departing at 5:00 PM. We thoroughly enjoyed this holiday, partly because we had such a great place to stay.
