This apartment is situated on the second floor and offers garden views of the tropical surroundings. For the real adventurers among you, the Subi Brandaris Trail awaits in Washington Slagbaai National Park. This challenging hike takes you to the top of Brandaris, Bonaire's highest point at 241 meters elevation. Start early in the morning for the coolest temperatures and count on about 45 minutes of climbing from the parking area to the summit. Make sure you have sturdy hiking shoes and good fitness, as there's light scrambling over rock formations required. The view from the top over the entire island and the Caribbean Sea is truly spectacular and well worth the effort!

- No BBQ – There's no barbecue available on the property, but at Donkey Beach and Seru Largu you'll find public BBQ spots with beautiful views
- No dryer – There's no dryer available, but thanks to the Caribbean sun and wind your laundry dries bone dry within hours
- No air conditioning in living room – The living room has no air conditioning, but ceiling fans and the wind-facing balcony provide cooling

Downtown Kralendijk with the boulevard, piers, sailing and motor boats at the mooring buoys and colorful facades: here you're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the boulevard in the evening. For divers and snorkelers, this area is a great base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience and the shortest travel times to amenities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk.
Getting around
A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Bonaire Beach Apartments 12 in Kralendijk. With your own car, all corners of the island are reachable at your own pace, from remote snorkeling spots to local restaurants. We recommend everyone to rent a car, as you'll then be able to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There's no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked for example.

Nice stay on pleasant island
The unit was clean, modern and comfortable. A/C in the bedrooms was great and worked well. If there is a cruise ship in port, your view will be largely blocked (at least in Unit #12.) It is a little noisy in the main living area because lots of motorcycles and other un-muffled cars driving by on main road. However, you can't hear it in the bedrooms when the doors are closed. As a guest of Bonaire Beach Apartments 12, you have full access to the entire apartment, including both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the living room, the open kitchen, and the balcony. Additionally, you can use the beautiful shared garden with mature palm garden and the lovely shared pool. Free parking is available, both on the property and on the street. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanation about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals personally! The Sunwise hosts of the accommodation will make arrangements with you about your arrival.
