General description
Bon Bida Blenchi is a 150 m² apartment on the second floor of the Bon Bida Apartments complex in the Hato neighborhood, north of Kralendijk. The apartment overlooks the tropical garden. Isidel Beach Park is just 350 meters away, supermarket Zhung Kong is 850 meters, restaurant Rum Runners is 600 meters, and Dive Friends Hamlet is 900 meters away. The apartment has access to a shared pool with a standard pool, available to all residents of the complex. Free street parking is available directly outside the property.
Layout of the apartment
The apartment features two bedrooms: the first bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two single beds – ideal for a couple with children or two friends. There are two full bathrooms. The living room flows seamlessly into the open kitchen, which is very well equipped with a stovetop, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, and an ice maker. Outside, you have both a covered porch and a balcony – perfect for enjoying the fresh outdoor air. The dining table and outdoor furniture complete the outdoor space.

On a beautiful evening, head over to Seru Largu, the well-known viewpoint southeast of Kralendijk. From the top – a small hill you can climb in just a few minutes – you're treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of almost the entire island: the salt flats to the south, the colorful houses of Kralendijk, and the vast Caribbean Sea along the west coast. Seru Largu is also known as the go-to spot for a barbecue under a star-filled sky. Bring your own grill supplies and drinks, find a picnic spot, and soak in the atmosphere as the sun slowly dips below the horizon.
Just so you know
- No dryer – There is no clothes dryer, but on Bonaire that's hardly a drawback: thanks to the constant sun and trade winds, laundry dries outside in just a few hours.
- No BBQ – Barbecuing is not possible at the property. Luckily, the Seru Largu viewpoint is a short drive away and is a popular public BBQ spot with fantastic views across the island.
- Unpaved road – The last stretch to the apartment is along an unpaved road. It's easily manageable in a regular car – consider it a small taste of Bonaire's adventurous spirit.

The neighborhood
Bon Bida Blenchi is located in Hato, the residential strip north of Kralendijk, stretching from Harbour Village toward Sabadeco. The neighborhood is close to several beach clubs and dive resorts as well as the northern shore dive sites, with restaurants and shops just a short drive away. Hato strikes a great balance between convenience and tranquility: perfect for families and water sports enthusiasts who want to get going quickly but prefer a quiet neighborhood to come home to in the evening.
Getting around
To truly explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Bon Bida Blenchi in Hato, renting a car is highly recommended. With your own vehicle you can reach every corner of Bonaire at your own pace – from secluded snorkel spots to local restaurants. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is advised, as the park's dirt roads can be quite rugged. There is no public transportation on the island and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked.

As a guest of Bon Bida Blenchi, you have exclusive use of the entire apartment: both bedrooms, both bathrooms, the open-plan living room and kitchen, the covered porch, and the balcony. You also have access to the shared pool of the Bon Bida Apartments complex. Free street parking is available right outside the property. To give our guests a warm welcome and share tips about the apartment and our beautiful island, all arrivals are handled in person! The Sunwise hosts for this property will coordinate the details of your arrival with you in advance.

Check-in is from 3:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request, subject to availability. Smoking and pets are not permitted in our accommodations.
