What makes Seru Largu so special?

At about 123 meters above sea level, from Seru Largu’s plateau you look out over almost the entire island. Kralendijk at your feet, Klein Bonaire in the distance, and on a clear day even a glimpse of Curaçao on the horizon.

The name “Seru Largu” literally means “high hill” in Papiamentu – and that’s exactly what it is: a high place with a grand sense of tranquility and space.

How do you reach the hike?

Seru Largu is easily accessible. From Kralendijk follow Kaminda Gurubu in the direction of Rincon. About halfway, you will see the turnoff to Seru Largu clearly marked. You can drive all the way up by car, but those who prefer to go on foot can park at the bottom and walk the last part.

The road up is wide and paved – not an adventurous trail, but just fine for a relaxing morning or evening walk.

Tips for your visit
