Carnival on Bonaire is one of the most colorful and vibrant events of the year! This weekend the island once again celebrates this tradition with spectacular parades, music and dancing. From youth parades to the big carnival parades in Rincon and Kralendijk – the party erupts. Below is the full schedule Carnival 2025 Bonaire and the routes of the parades. Friday, Feb. 28:

  • 09:00 School parade
  • 18:00 Jump Up Grandinan
  • 20:00 Teen parade Playa

At night, high school students parade through Playa with illuminated costumes. A magical experience.

Saturday, March 1:

  • 14:00 Grand parade in Rincon

The first big parade starts in Rincon. Admire the dance groups and colorful floats.

Sunday, March 2:

  • 13:00 Grand parade in Kralendijk

Today it is Playa’s turn. This parade is a highlight of Carnival on Bonaire.

Monday, March 3:

  • 18:00 Farewell parade children

Children walk one last lap through downtown Playa. Don’t miss this joyous conclusion.

Tuesday, March 4:

  • 20:00 Grand farewell parade

The carnival ends with the burning of King Momo at midnight. This marks the beginning of Lent.

Tips for a great Carnival on Bonaire

Good preparation ensures an unforgettable experience. Here are some helpful tips:

  • Come early for the best spots: Along the parade, shady spots are quickly occupied.
  • Use sunscreen: Are you standing in the sun? Don’t forget to apply regularly.
  • Protect your ears: Earplugs come in handy with the loud music.
  • Drink plenty of water: Along the route you will find stands selling cold drinks and snacks.

Do you want to come dressed up? You can, but keep in mind that most spectators will wear regular clothes.
