Just like KLM, TUI fly will also be opening their service to Bonaire again! And TUI offers the mandatory COVID-19 test, provisionally until August 31, free of charge to all travelers, including travelers with only an airline ticket and, for example, an individual accommodation at Sunwise.
Just like KLM, TUI fly will also restart its service on Bonaire, from July! On July 9, the first flight to our island is planned, but the frequency is still somewhat lower than usual: one flight per week for the time being.
TUI says the islands are ready to welcome tourists again and many accommodations have taken steps to ensure their guests stay as safe as possible. Read elsewhere on this blog about the ‘corona protocols’ that Sunwise has set up, together with its hostesses and hosts and the partners with whom we work together.
Free testing until August 31!
As communicated, Bonaire requires a COVID-19 test, with negative results. This test must be carried out a maximum of 72 hours before departure and the certificate with the results must be presented upon arrival.
For the time being until 31 August, TUI is offering this test (just like competitor Corendon, who flies with KLM), free of charge, to all travelers, including travelers with only a ticket for the flight and, for example, an individual accommodation with Sunwise.
I really want to come, but…..
What happens if the test is positive and I’m not allowed to fly. Do I get my money back?
Wish I was there, Marina
Hi Marina, at this moment we are trying to find out answers to all kinds of questions. From Sunwise we offer free cancelation should you not be able to travel, but that excludes personal illness. That’s only in case of a second wave and a return of the lockdowns. We read that an insurance is mandatory. We don’t know the terms of that insurance, but maybe our guests can claim the costs of airline ticket and accommodation costs. We’ll keep you posted in this blog!
