Electric Tribe Festival Bonaire a big succes!
Last Saturday, July 7, finally the time had come: the long-announced, first-ever festival with electronic music on Bonaire, finally opened its gates on the Kunuku Arawak site.
Well attended
Last Saturday, July 7, finally the time had come: the long-announced, first-ever festival with electronic music on Bonaire, finally opened its gates on the Kunuku Arawak site.
The visitors, more than 500 in number, which are decent numbers for Bonaire and certainly for a first edition of an event, could enjoy the beautiful Indian village setting of Arawak, two stages with music and various food and drink stands, supplemented with a tent where relax massages and a henna tattoo artist who showed her skills!
Urban and dance music
On the outdoor stage, music was played in the ‘urban style’, by various DJs (locally and from Curaçao), while a ‘dance stage’ was set up inside the large teepee, complete with large Indian masks and light shows, which, especially during the night, created a fantastic atmosphere.
In the dance section, various DJs from the European Netherlands, Bonaire, Aruba and Curaçao, from noon to midnight, played their best deep house, house, techno and afro house tracks.
Not a single incident, not a dubious word, but only positive comments will hopefully encourage the organization of the Electric Tribe Festival to many more editions of this great event!
