Sorobon: the pearl of Bonaire’s east coast.

Sorobon, located on the east side of Bonaire in idyllic Lac Bay, is a true oasis for nature lovers, windsurfers and anyone seeking peace and relaxation. The shallow waters of Lac Bay are sheltered by a vast mangrove forest. The mangrove forest is not only a crucial breeding ground for fish and birds, but also a natural barrier that protects the calm waters of the bay from the rougher open sea. Lac Bay and its natural environment makes Sorobon a paradise for windsurfers. Beginners and intermediate surfers can have a great time here thanks to the constant but manageable winds and shallow waters. The clear waters also invite snorkeling, where visitors can take a look at the rich underwater world of the coral reef that surrounds the bay.

“Bon dia tur hende i bon bini na dushi Boneiru!”
My name is Casper Douma and I am a photographer. Since 2014 I’ve been living on this beautiful island, surrounded by a fringing reef. At first glance, you may see mostly cacti and drought, but Bonaire is a little gem if you get to know it better. I would like to take you on one of my photography tours to show you all the special places of Bonaire. In small groups of maximum 4 people I give you a unique look at the beauty of Bonaire. Became curious? Take a look at my website! I wish you a lot of fun on beautiful Bonaire.
