Meet Rom Rincon, an original distilled drink from Bonaire. Since the early 19th century, this drink can be found in Rincon and by now all over the island.
One of Bonaire’s locally distilled spirits.
The name “Rom Rincon” is derived from the village of the same name, Rincon. Rum has been distilled in Rincon since the early 19th century. The rum was traditionally made from locally grown sugar cane. This sugar cane was found in abundance on the island. It was produced in small quantities at that time, mainly for personal use and sometimes for local celebrations. Currently, this rum is still distilled in Rincon, among other places, and this delicious drink can be ordered all over the island. Despite its local popularity, Rom Rincon remains largely unknown outside of Bonaire. A tip is to stop by the Cadushy Distillery in Rincon, here you can sample Rom Rincon and other specialty drinks.

βBon dia tur hende i bon bini na dushi Boneiru!β
My name is Casper Douma and I am a photographer. Since 2014 I’ve been living on this beautiful island, surrounded by a fringing reef. At first glance, you may see mostly cacti and drought, but Bonaire is a little gem if you get to know it better. I would like to take you on one of my photography tours to show you all the special places of Bonaire. In small groups of maximum 4 people I give you a unique look at the beauty of Bonaire. Became curious? Take a look at my website! I wish you a lot of fun on beautiful Bonaire.β
