American Airlines will return to CUR starting early December. Travel to Bonaire is now possible again, due to the more flexible measures!
Traveling through, to Bonaire possible
Last Wednesday, Island Governor Mr. Rijna announced that from next Monday, flights between Bonaire and Curaçao will be possible again and today American Airlines announced that it will resume the flight schedule with Curaçao, from the first week of December on, so just before our high season.
On the AA website you can see that the months of October and November are still closed, but that tickets can be booked again for flights from December 1:
Fly to BON with Divi Divi Air
Once on Curaçao, it is of course possible for our guests to continue flying to Bonaire. This is possible with Divi Divi Air, for example. Passengers from Canada and the United States must take a PCR test no later than 72 hours before departure and the result must be negative. They must also complete the health statement from the Public Health Department.
Obviously, direct flights between the US and Bonaire would only really restart tourism on our island, but for our North American friends who can’t wait…
The flight ban for direct flights from the United States will be extended by two weeks for the time being. If conditions remain favorable, according to Mr. Rijna, the measures can be relaxed even further and open to more countries when justified.
Update:
It looks like, United Airlines will restart their services on Bonaire:
