Laguna Reef is an apartment in the Port Bonaire complex in the Kralendijk neighborhood, with direct ocean views and a floor area of 58 m². Van den Tweel supermarket is 4800 meters away, Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach are 250 meters away, Sebastian’s Restaurant is 2 kilometers away and Dive Friends Port Bonaire is 50 meters away. The apartment is situated on the ground floor and guests can make use of the shared regular pool.

Layout of the apartment

The Laguna Reef apartment has one bedroom, the Master bedroom, with a comfortable king-size bed and one bathroom. The living room connects to a sea-facing terrace where you can relax outdoors. From Laguna Reef you can easily walk to Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach, two favorite spots for both locals and visitors. Te Amo Beach is known for its clear, calm water and is very suitable for snorkeling among colorful reef fish in shallow coral gardens. Donkey Beach is right next to Te Amo and offers a laid-back vibe along the shoreline. Bring your snorkel gear, find a quiet spot by the water and enjoy hours of underwater life just off the coast.

The neighborhood

Kralendijk center comes with a lively boulevard, piers, sailboats and motorboats on moorings and colorful facades. Here you are right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure points for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. It’s ideal if you like to have everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the boulevard in the evening.

For divers and snorkelers, Playa is a great base thanks to quick access to the west coast sites; for foodies and shoppers this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience and the shortest travel times to all the facilities in Bonaire’s main town, Kralendijk.

Getting around

Laguna Reef in Kralendijk is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of the apartment. With your own car you can explore the island at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to relaxed beaches and local restaurants. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can reach every corner of the island. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The park’s roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport and taxis are limited, especially on busy cruise ship days.

Guest access

As a guest of Laguna Reef you have access to the entire apartment, including the bedroom, bathroom, living room, open-plan kitchen and the sea-facing terrace. You can also use the shared pool in the complex, and free street parking is available right by the accommodation. To give you a warm welcome and provide explanations about the apartment and our beautiful island, we personally handle all arrivals. The Sunwise hosts for the property will arrange a convenient meeting time with you for check-in.

Other things to note

Check-in is from 3PM and check-out is by 10AM. Early arrival or late departure may be possible on request, depending on other bookings. Smoking and pets are not allowed in our accommodations, and we kindly ask you to keep noise levels down in the evenings. Enjoy your stay at Laguna Reef!
