Laguna Serena Villa is a beautiful villa located not far the vibrant center of Kralendijk, in the exclusive Water Villas Bonaire complex. This 185 m² property sits directly on the water of Laguna Marina and offers a unique waterfront experience in the middle of the capital. Van den Tweel supermarket is 2.2 kilometers away, Te Amo Beach and Donkey Beach are within 900 meters, Sebastian’s Restaurant is 1.5 kilometers away and Dive Friends Port Bonaire is just 750 meters away. The private pool is a regular pool that perfectly invites you for a refreshing dip after a day full of adventures.

Layout of the villa

The villa features four spacious bedrooms and two bathrooms, ideal for groups up to eight people. The open kitchens directly adjoins the livingrooms and are fully equipped with modern appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, stove, toaster, coffee maker and oven. The outdoor space is exceptionally extensive with a private garden, covered porch, balcony and terrace, ensuring there's always a perfect spot to relax. The private pool forms the heart of the outdoor area and provides cooling and fun for all guests.

Just a few minutes' drive from Laguna Serena Villa lies the Donkey Sanctuary, a unique rescue center that you absolutely shouldn't miss. Here, hundreds of donkeys roam freely in a protected natural area of more than 60 hectares. These gentle animals have a special history on Bonaire - they were once used for transportation and agriculture, but when cars arrived, many donkeys roamed wild around the island. The sanctuary now provides them with a safe home where visitors can observe them up close, feed them and learn more about their role in Bonairian culture. A wonderful outing for the whole family!

Just so you know

• No dryer - there's no dryer available, but thanks to the constant sun and wind on Bonaire, your laundry will be bone dry within a few hours
• No dining table inside - there's no dining room table in the villa, but the covered porch has a beautiful large table that's perfect for long dinners in the open air
• Stairs - there are stairs present in the villa, which may be less suitable for guests with mobility issues

The neighborhood

Downtown Kralendijk with its boulevard, piers, sailing and motor boats at the mooring buoys and colorful facades: here you're right in the middle of restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure point for various boat trips, including sunset tours and water taxis to Klein Bonaire. Ideal for those who want everything within walking distance and enjoy strolling along the boulevard in the evening. For divers and snorkelers, this area is a great base due to quick access to the west coast spots; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect liveliness, convenience and the shortest travel times to the facilities in Bonaire's capital: Kralendijk.

Getting around

A rental car is a must on Bonaire to explore the island beyond the immediate surroundings of Laguna Serena Villa in Kralendijk. With your own car, you can reach all corners of the island at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to authentic local restaurants. We recommend everyone rent a car, as it enables you to get everywhere. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for natural areas like Washington Slagbaai National Park, a pickup truck or SUV is recommended. The roads in the park are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car unsuitable. There's no public transportation and the number of taxis is limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is docked, for example.

Guest access

As a guest of Laguna Serena Villa, you have access to the entire villa, consisting of two apartments, including all four bedrooms, both bathrooms, the fully equipped kitchens, living rooms and all outdoor spaces such as the private garden, covered porch, balcony and terrace. The private pool is exclusively for your use, as well as the free parking spaces on the street directly in front of the villa. To warmly welcome our guests and provide explanation about the accommodation and our beautiful island, we handle all arrivals personally! The Sunwise hosts of the accommodation will make arrangements with you about your arrival.

Other things to note

Check-in is from 3PM and check-out should be by 10AM. Early or late check-in or check-out is possible upon request, depending on other guests. Smoking is not allowed in our accommodations and unfortunately pets are not welcome. We ask you to be considerate of other guests in the evening and keep noise to a minimum.
