A great idea near Isidel Beach Park is to bring your snorkel gear and explore the marine life along the shoreline. Isidel Beach Park sits on Bonaire’s west coast, where the water is usually calm and clear. Along the rocky shoreline you’ll often spot colorful reef fish close to shore. Water shoes are helpful for getting in and out, and after your snorkel you can simply relax in the sun and enjoy the views over the Caribbean Sea.

Just so you know

• On an unpaved road – The access road can be a bit bumpy but is easy to drive with a regular rental car.
• No BBQ – There is no barbecue available, but Bonaire offers several public spots where you can grill.
• No A/C in the living room – The bedrooms are nicely cool with A/C, while the living room benefits from the trade winds and ceiling fans.

The neighborhood

Residential strip just north of Kralendijk, stretching from Harbour Village towards Sabadeco. Close to several beach clubs, dive resorts, and northern shore dive sites, with restaurants and shops only a short drive away. Hato combines convenience and tranquility: ideal for families and watersports enthusiasts who want to get out and about quickly but prefer a quiet neighborhood to come home to in the evening.

Getting around

Bon Bida Di Sol in Hato is best enjoyed with a rental car, as Bonaire has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings. With your own car you can reach every corner of the island at your own pace, from secluded snorkel spots to local eateries. We recommend renting a car so you can truly get around. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas such as Washington Slagbaai National Park a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park’s roads are unpaved and can be rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport and taxis are limited, especially on busy cruise ship days.

As a guest of Bon Bida Di Sol you have access to the entire apartment, including both bedrooms, the two bathrooms, the living room, the fully equipped open-plan kitchen, and the outdoor areas such as the balcony and terrace. You can also use the shared facilities of the Bon Bida Apartmenten complex, including the communal pool and on-site parking.
