Do All Tourists Have To Pay A Nature Fee?
Yes, all guests to Bonaire, at least those going into the sea or to the National Park, are required to purchase a Bonaire Marine Park Tag.
The Bonaire Marine Park also requires that all visiting divers, participate in a short orientation session on their first morning of diving. At our dive partners, this orientation session is organized anytime during their opening hours. After the orientation, divers should make an introductory dive on the house reef before leaving for shore or boat dives. The purpose of this dive is to further test buoyancy control and check dive equipment while the diver is still at a safe distance from the dive staff and facilities.
However, all non-divers using the waters of the Bonaire Marine Park, including snorkelers, windsurfers, kayakers, sport fishermen, kite boarders et cetera, must also purchase a tag.
All persons who pay the Nature Fee (both divers and other users) and present their tag along with their printed receipt will receive free admission to Washington Slagbaai National Park throughout the year.
Our guests can buy their tag online at https://stinapa.bonairenaturefee.org/purchase.
