In our article about our favorite snack on Bonaire, the “pastechi,” we touched on Jurino Ignacio of the website Antilliaans-Eten.nl (Antillean Cuisine) and author of five Antillean cookbooks.
The Dutch Parool picked up this week with a nice story about Caribbean cuisine and especially that of the Dutch islands in the Caribbean Sea, discussing Jurino Ignacio’s work and Helmi Smeulders’ new book: ‘Het Caribische kookboek; tropische gerechten met een moderne twist‘ (The Caribbean cookbook; tropical dishes with a modern twist).
