Delta Airlines will start daily service to Bonaire
Delta Airlines will operate daily direct flights from Atlanta to Bonaire during the upcoming peak seasons around the Holidays and in March
Growing popularity of Bonaire!
After Delta Airlines started landing at Flamingo Airport twice a week again last month, the American airline announced that it will increase this frequency to no less than seven (!) times a week in the upcoming peak season around Christmas and the spring vacations. The growing popularity of Bonaire among American guests has made Delta decide to do so.
From December 18, 2021 through January 2, 2022, and in principle from March 1 through April 3, 2022, if demand will be sufficient, Delta will operate these daily nonstop flights.
An important milestone for Bonaire
“This is an important milestone for the island, as it is the first time Delta has offered a daily direct connection to Bonaire,” said Miles Mercera, CEO of Tourism Corporation Bonaire. “It is a testament to the growing interest in the unique experiences we have to offer. The increased frequency will meet demand and provide an effortless connection between the US and our beautiful island. We look forward to welcoming these additional visitors and showcasing the varied landscapes, diverse culture and elevated offerings we have to offer.”
Quick test results
After the interruption during the corona pandemic, the airline resumed her Wednesday and Saturday flights on June 5. In recent months, Bonaire has also made a rapid antigen test available at Flamingo International Airport to help travelers adhere to the current COVID-19 testing protocol. Travelers must be able to provide a negative PCR test result from a test taken within 24 hours of departure or a negative PCR test result from a test taken within 72 hours of arrival at Bonaire and an antigen test immediately upon arrival at Bonaire Airport. Travelers returning to the United States will also benefit from on-site testing, as results are ready within 15 minutes.
